Pet care experience
I've grown up with numerous dogs and have taken care of many different breeds and sizes. Some examples include Labradors, Irish setters, Cockapoos, Miniature Pinschers, and Golden Retrievers. I have multiple years of experience sitting and walking dogs of various sizes and ages, of pretty much all common and less common breeds. I love playing with dogs and going for walks/runs with them. I have a golden boy of my own, as well as 3 cats; so have no fear if you need a house sitter but have feline fur babies as well. I am a related service provider to special education kiddos in a local school district, so my availability is after school and occasional weekends. My schedule is fairly flexible and accommodating, with increased availability in the summer. I am extremely respectful of other's property and would treat your home with the upmost respect when sitting or doing drop-in visits. If I sit at your house, I will leave the space cleaner than I left it and your dog as happy as can be!

This is our second visit with Halie, and we love her! She is very communicative before, during, and after the visit, and our pups are super comfortable with her. We’re hoping to plan a week-long vacation in the near future, and have no reservations with contacting Halie first to see if she can stay with our girls!
Halie was amazing with our two large puppers! She provided updates about the dogs while we away with texts and pictures. I knew they were in good hands when we left for our trip which is a huge relief for traveling dog parents. I would recommend her to anyone needing a sitter!

Because of my cats, I do not board at this time. While sitting for your dog, you can expect me to follow whatever rules you have in place for your pet, and follow any and all of your instructions provided. I clean up any accidents that may occur while working to ensure your doggo is provided with all the love, care, play, and attention normally provided by you while you are away.

I would like to know their preferences, how often they need to be let out, if there's anything special they do to communicate something, as well as your command words for your doggo. I would also like to know if they have any triggers while walking. Also if there's anything you prefer your dog not do, like sitting on furniture, then I'll make sure I don't let them so as not to risk training any unwanted behavior into your dog. While dog sitting, I like to know veterinarian information in case of an emergency. I am comfortable administering medication, but would definitely need to know frequency, dose, and if there's an administration method that works best for your doggo.
A typical day
I love taking my dog to the Winnebago/Jerry Finch dog park because it is a good size, never overly busy, and typically has very attentive owners with well-socialized doggos. If you as the owner is comfortable with me taking your doggo to the park, we can do that. Otherwise I try to map out interesting and fun walks for doggos around their neighborhood. We can play fetch and go for walks, however long your doggo needs. I love giving pets and playing tug-o-war or fetch. Whatever your dog likes doing, I'll go with it!
