Pet care experience
Hello everyone! I have watched over pets for almost 16 years, helped train puppies, and have experience with many different kinds of routines for meals from kibble to raw meat. I hold a deep love for large dogs and can handle walking dogs of any size, multiple times a day if necessary. In the past, when a pet has been acting strangely I have done research, stayed up late, had to rush pets to the vet and cleaned up many different bodily fluids, so higher maintenance pets I meet with just as much love as all the rest. I can’t wait to meet your four-legged, furry family!
Reviews
Haley was great with my senior dog Sid! I'll definitely be requesting her services again in the future.
Grateful for a safe trusted person to watch my lil family member. I will be using her again!
Haley was wonderful with our sensitive rescue dog. A significantly weaker suit is exercising good judgement as a house sitter.
Haley does an excellent job! She works well with my dog who is still a bit of an exuberant pup. With Haley, Happy the dog sits, obeys "leave it" and walks on the left as she should. I highly recommend Haley.

When I get to a client’s home I first bond with the pets in any way I can, for example, if I am sitting for a skittish pet I will leave my shoes off by to door so they can smell me at a safe distance so we can build rapport without the pet feeling boxed in or forced in any way. I also own a car large enough to transport any dog if needed and I work out regularly, which means if anything happens to them I will be able to take them to receive proper care. In the past I have done extensive research to know the best way to help a pet if I feel anything is off or if their mannerisms change.
Information Haley W. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to meet all pets I could be caring for before I work with them, so I am not a stranger to them, after all, scent recognition is really important for building rapport with any pet. Depending on the time I may need to know particular aspects of their schedule, such as how to feed them, if the visit goes longer than expected. Endurance is another critical factor, if I am walking them, how well they respond to heat and any places the dog is not allowed to be on. Any supplementary items, such as brushes or toys, would be good to know as well as any medical needs such as pills, colloidal silver in their water or any known behaviors they are working on curbing, such as chewing on undesired objects or peeing in the house.
A typical day
My favorite activities with dogs are playing fetch, taking them on long walks in nature and cuddling. I have been known to take dogs on walks for up to five miles, if the dog needs vigorous exercise or a little as around the corner in the case of elderly or dogs with thick fur coats in summer. Most often, I walk in nature and as soon as I have deeply bonded with the dogs, so they come easily and predicably when called, I like for the dog to explore whatever local natural environment we are walking in, but only if the owners feel safe about their dogs being off leash. Occasionally, I will visit dog parks but in the past I have mostly stuck to the Green Belt in Eldorado and the Arroyo, which has led to many hours of play and exploration for the dogs. When we need a slower activity, I will sit and rub bellies or cuddle on a couch or even the floor, depending on the norms of the house and the preferences of the dog.
