Grad student needing puppy love
Pet care experience
I have had family dogs my whole life and have helped in caring for them in all stages of their lives, from puppy to 18 years old. I currently have a 7 year old havanese-bichon mix, who I refuse to call a senior, but have raised him from a pup. I have taken care of pets for neighbors, including larger dogs and cats, and although those pets can’t leave me reviews, they do come RUNNING with tails wagging when they see me. Additionally, I am experienced with animals that need a bit of extra care. My current dog, Theo, has some pretty extreme anxiety, so I have navigated that with him his whole little life and am experienced with separation anxiety and those who despise the crate. This also includes medicine administration.

Haley was great with my senior dog! I’m always hesitant leaving her with new people, but Haley really helped me out with a last second booking. She and her pup were great with Mollie over the weekend. Lots of check ins and updates! Will definitely use her again!

I do not have a fenced yard, so leash training will be necessary. Despite this, there is a small neighborhood dog park right near my house that I currently take my little guy to regularly to get some off-leash play in! I do have a small crate that can be used if needed, but larger dogs will need to provide their own if you want me to crate them.

A typical day
We will absolutely go on big walks and visit any nearby parks! If they’re staying with me, I have plenty of fun toys and a small neighborhood dog park we can take a walk to and play at!

I am currently on summer break from my doctoral program so my schedule is wide open! I am teaching a course online this summer and taking one myself but those things are both super flexible!
