In-Home Reno Dog Sitting!
Pet care experience
I have had dogs in my home almost all of my life and I have dog sat for friends and family on multiple occasions. Dogs I've watched have ranged from corgis to a lab/great dane mix. I currently have dogs that are an American Staffordshire Terrier and a basset hound/pit mix so I'm used to dogs with a lot of energy! Since I will be sitting in your home, I'll be sure to follow any rules you've set for your dog such as not allowing them on furniture. I love interacting with all dogs and I'm able to walk almost any dog, as long as they are trained to walk well on a leash! I work part-time and attend school full-time during the day. My evenings are generally very available. However, this means a home with a doggy door or a dog who is potty trained and can be left alone for long periods of time would be a good fit for me during the week!

Haley was wonderful with our two dogs. We received updates including pictures! Our dogs were even brushed when we came home which was a delightful surprise. We will definitely use Haley again in the near future.

Haley is a really great dog caregiver! My dogs are trained in German and it was hard for me to find anyone who was willing to use the proper commands with them when they're on walks for example. Haley actually took the time to sit down with me and learn the few simple commands so that they dogs would actually listen to her. The dogs seemed to lover her and she's a really great girl! 10/10 would recommend, I know I plan on using her every time my wife and I go out of town for sure!

Due to my busy day schedule, I would only be able to care for dogs with special needs or those who cannot be left alone for long periods of time on the weekends. One of my dogs has separation issues and chews things when we're not home, but I do not feel comfortable caring for another person's dog that has similar types of issues (especially if they are going to chew or destroy things) if my schedule is not open for the day. I can work with dogs who are kenneled trained as well as dogs who are not. I am also able to administer any oral medication your dog may need.
A typical day
I change my dog-sitting style on a case by case basis! Some dogs like to be left alone for the most part and I'm fine with leaving them to entertain themselves. Other dogs like attention and what to be played with or pet often and I like to challenge myself to keep up with them! I'm happy to take your dog to a nearby park or walk them around the neighborhood. If this is out of the norm for your dog or you're not comfortable with this, I can also just spend time with them in your home.
