Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Haley and I have owned pets my entire life. Collectively, I have had 3 dogs and 4 cats, plus other furry and scaly friends along the way. I was known as the “neighborhood dog walker/sitter” all throughout high school as I was everyone’s go to for pet care. At 20, I began volunteering for a local animal shelter where I later began working at for the next 5 years, in both the shelter and clinic sides of the organization. Because of my background, I have experience with anxious, reactive and dog selective dogs of all sizes and ages! My own dog can be a nervous Nelly! I have given insulin injections as well as pill medications to dogs. I would need to know your process for administering any kinds of medications as I know dogs can be too smart for their own good! I also have experience in working with dogs who are currently going through rehabilitation from a previous injury as my own dog just recently went through a knee surgery!
Reviews
Haley goes above and beyond with each and every visit! Excellent post-visit summaries! She clearly cares deeply about dogs and their training/wellbeing.
Haley is so patient and kind with my dog.
Haley is wonderful with King. I highly recommend her services!
Very good with Penny and you can tell by her notes how much she cares about the pets she takes care of.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand the importance and safety of crates/kennels for dogs and am willing crate your pet at your discretion! I also know some dogs need to be walked outside in order to do their business as work may be getting done on fences, people have finicky furry neighbors with big feelings or they just simply do not have a fence. Rain or shine, I will be outside with your pet for however long it may take them! If there is one thing pets of all ages need, it is patience!
Information Haley L. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know what your pet’s favorite things are! Do they focus best with a treat or a toy, do they have any triggers and what routine they are most comfortable with. I would also need to know if they are reactive/aggressive towards any type of person or animal. My own Dixie gets a bit toooo excited for squirrels! This way, I will be better prepared for their care and we both will have the best time together! I would also like to know if your pet has any food allergies (for lots and lots of treats of course!) If your pet is crate trained or working on crate training, what works best for them? Do they go in easily or do they need some treats for coaxing?
A typical day
I love hiking so I’m a pro at fun, fun walks! With me, your dog will have plenty of time to sniff all the things and work their brains at the same time. I have had cats for the first 21 years of my life. I know how fast they can get bored so I know all the tips and tricks to get them interested again. Tip: fast hands are the MOST interesting and keeps both you AND the cat engaged.
