Dog lover with a flexible schedule!
Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs of all sizes for 11 years. I've walked and dog sat for three extremely energetic three-month-old puppies, older smaller dogs, young big dogs, not to mention the many dogs my parents raised while I grew up! The first six years of my professional dog care career were primarily spent dogsitting. During the last three years, I transitioned to dog-walking in order to be at home to help out with my parents' Pitbull mix puppies (a three-year-old and one-year-old). I was lucky enough to be the primary walker for a beautiful Australian Shephard and a sweet Boxer-Pitbull mix for two years. I had to leave those dogs to move to LA from the San Francisco Bay Area to get my MFA In screenwriting at USC. I just graduated and am excited to get to know as many amazing Angelino dogs as possible on my writing breaks. If you think I'd be a good match for you and your dogs, please reach out!
Reviews
We are glad we found Haley on Rover! She is punctual, communicative, and easy to work with. We also love that she already had experience with large dogs / bully breeds, so we felt comfortable having her walk our pitbull/boxer mix. We recommend Haley!
Haley was great walking Sven. Highly recommended!
Haley walked my high-energy, young Lab/GSD while I recovered from knee replacement. She took him off leash and played ball with him to get him the kind of workout he loves and needs. This was a life saver for me, and Otto fell in love! Also: Haley responded to my initial request promptly and was always on time - in short, she's a pro!
Haley was terrific . She took care of our house and our two dogs for six days , and sent us nightly reports with pictures. She was alert, responsible and responsive and we returned to a clean house and two happy pups. We would certainly use her again, and plan to do so.

Safety, trust & environment
It’s important that you trust me with your dog, but also that your dog trust me. I’ll follow your lead when meeting your dog to make sure they feel safe. It’s also important for me to know how you keep your dog safe in your home. Are they a runner? Do you use a two door/gate system to ensure they never get out? While walking, I exercise caution, crossing the street or turning around to avoid contact with other dogs, even if their owners say their dog is friendly. I’m fully vaccinated and will always wear my mask while inside your home to be extra safe.
Information Haley K. would like to know about your pet
I want to know about any special needs your dog has, or any tricks I should know to win their heart. Anything is helpful, ranging from sights or sounds that may upset them on a walk to how many poop breaks they normally take on a walk.
A typical day
I enjoy long walks, hikes, and throwing the ball in a safe, off-leash environment. I’ve also found that taking dogs to a new neighborhood can be a lot of fun. The fresh sights and smells are exciting, and if you live in a neighborhood with busy streets and lots of dogs barking at fences, this can provide a much more relaxing outing.

Availability
My schedule is mostly open as my days are spent writing and I can schedule that around pet care. I can accommodate most late-notice needs, but prefer to schedule in advance.
