ER Vet Nurse with love to spare!

Pet care experience

I offer house-sitting, drop-ins visits, and drop-in medical care. I recently have undergone an ACL surgery and so will not be able to provide enough exercise for very energetic dogs for a while. Hi! I've had a passion for pets my entire life--currently, I have a cat (21 yrs), three dogs (1 yr, 7 yrs, 10 yrs), a 40-gallon freshwater fish tank (4 yrs), and a corn snake (1yr). My love for all things furry, fishy, and scaly lead me to my career as a Veterinary Nurse at a local emergency animal hospital. Previously, I worked with Freedom Service Dogs on their dogs in-training and a daycare/boarding facility. Managing multiple animals at once is certainly not a new obstacle for me. I have a lot of experience with dogs with separation anxiety, medical and special needs. If you need reliable and knowledgeable care for your pets, I’m only a message away! I understand how scary it can be to leave your family members with someone you don't know, but I will always do my best to make sure you and your pet are as comfortable as possible. I am also available to provide assistance with or administration of injectable drugs or subcutaneous fluid that have been appropriately prescribed by a veterinarian. I book these visits as drop-ins, but I may offer discounts based on administration difficulty or distance following an initial visit at the drop-in rate. I live in Castle Pines and enjoy taking pups out for some slightly longer hikes on occasion nearby. If your dog is on the older side, no problem. I have had senior dogs and cats (16 yrs, 21 yrs), so I am well aware of their needs and limitations as well. I can offer peace of mind that your pet will end every day happy, exhausted, and well-loved! I'd love to get to know you and your pets, so shoot me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I reached out to Haley for a first time, last minute stay, after I had several others back out last minute. She literally saved our family reunion trip, and was amazing during the stay. She did exactly what she said she would and was great at communication and kept our home clean and kept our dogs safe and well cared for! First time stays are always a crap shoot it seems, but not with Haley!

I am always diligent to make sure your pet is safe. I know our furry friends can be mischievous, so I keep an eye out to avoid any problems. I also am trained in recognizing emergencies and can provide first aid if needed.

Information Haley C. would like to know about your pet

I would appreciate a layout of your dogs daily routine! Some dogs thrive with structured schedules while others are more comfortable going with the flow, and I'll happily accommodate either. Any medical needs, special needs or behavioral issues (ex: diabetes, separation anxiety, obsessive behaviors, etc.) are important for me to be aware of, I want to make sure I am capable of caring for your pet to the level they deserve to be looked after. I'd appreciate being told if the dog has any aggression towards other dogs, a tendency to chase prey, etc so I can keep your dog as safe as possible. I have no breed or age preferences.

A typical day

One of the most important things about caring for someone else's pet is disrupting the routine as little as possible. I'm committed to making sure your kiddo is as content as possible. Playtime, walks, hikes, or just laying around the house are all things I will happily do! I have a "lending library" of puzzle toys I bring along as well, just to switch things up. If I have house-sat your pet previously, I am able to bring them with me to work if needed for more frequent check-ins (provided rabies vaccination is up to date).

Currently, I work Sun-Tues from 9am-8pm. I am able to do a check-in around halfway through my shift if the travel distance allows or bring them to work if more attention is needed. I like to make this clear to all potential clients! If needed, pets I have previously sat can accompany me to work if more frequent check-ins are required during house-sittings.
