I have almost two years of professional pet care experience at an animal shelter and a boarding facility where I fed, walked, cleaned up after, and monitored the health of a wide range of dog breeds and cats. I've owned dogs, cats, and even a snake and rats; I am passionate about all animals and learning to care for them, so I'm open to help you with your exotics, birds, and reptiles as well! I've worked primarily with exuberant dogs and friendly cats, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the nervous and uncertain ones. I know pet behaviors and safe animal handling practices like the back of my hand, and I am very comfortable taking my time to get to know and build a rapport with your pet if you think they might be a little shy. If this is the first time your pet is being sat, or you're not sure how they're going to react to a new person coming into the home, I'm very willing to come have a little meet and greet the day before the sit!
