I’ve cared for dogs and cats as early as I can remember. I grew up with and absolutely love both. I have 2 cats of my own and a very energetic golden retriever puppy. I have skills from 4-H with basic dog training, and I am used to administering medications with my cats and puppy. I have been training my puppy from the beginning so I have basic training skills when it comes to dogs.

Haleigh has always had a love for animals. When she first graduated high school her dream was to become a veterinarian. Although plans change, her love for pets has not. She has always had a family dog while growing up and has always wanted one while being in college, but just would not be able to give it the love and attention that it would need. Anyone that would have Haleigh as their dog sitter would not regret it and can count on their pet getting the best care, love, and attention while the owners are not able to!

I am always working to keep my energetic puppy exercised and she LOVES playing with other dogs. I take her to the dog park to play with other dogs in the pond many times a week. Unfortunately, I can’t take other’s pets into my own apartment since they only allow so many animals, but I am always open for walks, house-sitting, or drop-in visits to keep your pets happy.

No breed preferences, I love them all! I would like to know how well they like other dogs and cats, what they enjoy doing/playing with, and just basic information that will help me get to know them better!
A typical day
We can go on walks anywhere! I’m willing to take your dog to a nearby dog park to play, or we can enjoy a long walk together :) I take my puppy to the Ankeny dog park where they have a pond to play in, and my puppy would love to have a companion to play with!

Availability
I am a registered nurse that works overnights 3 days a week. When I’m not working, I love being outside with my puppy. I am always willing to help the days/nights I don’t work because having healthy and happy animals makes me happy.
