Before I begin sitting or walking any pets I like to know a little about their personalities - do they greet everyone at the door with excited barks? Do they sleep half the day away in their favorite bed? What is their favorite toy? Anything I can know to help them be more at ease around me is appreciated information. It also gives me something to expect, and helps me figure out the best way to act around them. I have no size or breed preferences, although as I am of shorter stature walking a very large dog can prove a bit tricky sometimes! Any allergies or medications they may suffer from or are taking are also pertinent. Please also keep me informed of any triggers they may have - do loud noises such as thunder storms startle them so bad they hide? Are they particularly afraid of larger dogs? Do they rise to the defensive when they are faced with a balloon? I like to know these things so I can keep them away from any situations or objects that may make them stressed. Basically, any information is great information!
