Pet care experience
Clients new to Rover: ask me how to get a $20 discount on your first booking! I specialize in nervous pets and large & XL breeds and reactive dogs, and have a gentle demeanor that eases anxious pets and those that are easily set off. I am comfortable handling strong, stubborn dogs (including my own 85lb reactive pittie), but also have a gentle touch that makes me great with older, skittish, and special-needs pets. I have experience with all types of pets, from extra small to extra large and from little ones to seniors, which makes me well-equipped to care for any pet, including unconventional, senior, or special needs pets. I have lifelong experience with both petsitting and babysitting, so I am a natural caregiver, and as a Wildlife Ecology student, I am extra familiar with animal behavior and handling. I also have some personal experience with training, so I like to practice leash & road manners as well as basic safety training with the dogs that I walk. When I watch your pet, you can expect attention to detail, lots of photos, and lots of love. Housesitting clients will receive updates every morning and evening and walk/drop-in clients will receive an update and photos with every walk/drop-in.
Reviews
Hailey is just fabulous. She goes above and beyond. I just know my dog is being well taken care of and loved while I’m gone. I have 100% confidence in her and would use her again and again.
Hailey was an amazing caretaker for my dog! She walked and fed him twice a day, played with him, and stayed with him so he could have a human with him. Not only that, she kept our house incredibly neat and even washed the bedding she used! I got daily updates am and pm. She asked anything she needed clarified and responded promptly. She was outstanding! I would use her again and again!
Hailey was so great with our cats! We have a very nervous cat and he loved her we were so impressed. She kept us updated and sent adorable pictures. Definitely recommend Hailey!!
Hailey is hands down the best dog-house sitter. She took care of the pups like her own. We have 2 older dogs and a younger more spry one and she took it all on. She left our home in immaculate condition and her twice daily updates were always so fun. She is great!

I am more than happy to watch pets in your home or take them for outings. While caring for your pet in your home, you can expect an update with every visit (walks & drop ins) or twice daily (housesitting). Feel free to leave written instructions for your pet’s care—just another way to make sure your furry friend gets everything they need from me! Please note, my housesitting rate does not apply to constant care; I charge an additional fee if your pet cannot be left unattended for the duration of the stay. Dog walking clients: I care about the safety of your pet, so I do not use retractable (flexi) leashes, as they are prone to breaking and causing injury. If you do not own a standard leash, I have one spare—please let me know ahead of time if I will need to bring it.
Information Hailey C. would like to know about your pet
Questions I ask all potential clients: - Is your pet human- or dog-reactive? Do they exhibit food aggression or resource guarding? Are they prone to barking, lunging, nipping, or swatting? ***This is not a disqualifier, just for me to better prepare!*** - Is your pet trained/in training for anything? - Do they have any allergies? - Are they currently injured? - Are they on any medications, including any dailies you'd like me to give and any emergency meds (allergy/anxiety/etc.) I might need to give? - Do they have any problematic behaviors (including eating food off the ground) I should stop them from doing? - Do they like to try to escape? How good are they at it? - Are they afraid of thunderstorms, men, other animals, bicycles, or anything else? - What are their favorite treats, toys, places to go, or games to play? - Are they allowed to have treats? May I provide some? - When applicable, how much food do they get and how often? Where can I find it? - What is their usual routine? Is the timing flexible? - Do they like to lead the walks or should I? Do they pull on the leash? Do you let them pull or correct it?
A typical day
With more outdoorsy pets, I like to: - run, walk, or hike in state parks, on UF campus, or just around the neighborhood - find quiet, enclosed areas like sports fields or empty dog parks to play fetch - go for car rides With homebodies, I like to: - put together lick mats, lactose-free pup cups, or pupsicles - watch movies or spend time together on the couch - play fetch or frisbee in the backyard

Availability
I am a local and a UF student, so I like to make my regular pups a part of my day-to-day routine. Your furry friends are my FURst priority! I am available for weekly bookings during the week between 12pm and 5pm, and for one-time stays and house sitting in the evenings and on weekends. I am often busy in the mornings, but if you think I’d be a good fit for your pet, shoot me a message & I’ll see if I can make it work! I can provide potty breaks as frequently as every 4hrs, but not more often since I am a student in classes still.
