As a dog owner myself, I know how scary it can be to leave your pup while you’re away. Even while growing up, I was so anxious to leave my dogs because I loved them so much! As I got older, I got an idea for how difficult it could be to search for trusted help. No one wants to stick their pooch into a kennel, and wrangling friends to help out is never a fun process. That’s what inspired me to become a dog sitter in the first place! Simply put, I want to make sure that every owner has the peace of mind that their pup is in good hands while they’re away. Dogs have always had a big presence in my life. In addition to growing up with them, I spent tons of time when I was younger volunteering at the local animal shelter. In my time there, I learned so much about giving professional-quality care to animals and how far a little love can go. In high school, I was even the president of a club whose focus was on rescuing and re-homing stray animals! Since then, I’ve become a professional dog walker/sitter and carry a sense of duty towards dogs with me at all times! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. I believe that communication is the foundation for every good stay. Even before the stay begins, I like to get as much information about you and your pup as possible! That way, I can find out what you and your pup like and start thinking about how to make the stay a dream come true. When your pup is under my wing, I’m happy to take copious notes on anything that you’d like. From exercise times to meal prep, I’ll keep you updated on anything and everything!
