Acreage to run on-fully fenced yard

Pet care experience

I absolutely love animals of all shapes and sizes. I grew up on a farm taking care of livestock and other animal species and learned about their individual needs and wants to be able to thrive. I am going to college to becomd an exotic animal veterinarian and I am animal CPR certified. I love to go on adventures with my three dogs, we frequently go hiking and swimming. I have a 31lb American Pitbull Terrier mix named Oliver, who is 2 years old. I rescued him from a shelter in Alabama. I have worked hard to train him to be a role model and ambassador for bully breeds and I couldn't ask for a better dog. He loves everyone and every animal he meets. I also have a 80lb White Swiss Shepherd named Loec, who is a year and a half old. He is extremely stubborn, like most intelligent working breeds, and is the goofiest dog I've ever met. We call him all beauty but no brains. The newest addition to our family is a Siberian Husky/ Miniature American Shepherd mix named Willow, she is the sweetest and gentlest soul out of all my dogs. She loves to please. My dogs are well behaved and love everyone and everything. They get along well with every dog they have met and they love to play so the can keep your pup's busy and tired when staying at my home. I live with my boyfriend in my house that I own and have a 2 acre backyard that is fully fenced in. I have owned dogs my whole life in all shapes and sizes. I worked as a training at a dog boarding facility for 3 years and trained hundreds of breeds of dogs. I know what works well for individual dogs personalities and temperaments. I also worked very closely with my friend who is a veterinarian and she has taught me how to safely and effectively administer all kinds of medications and to treat mild wounds that can occur when dogs play. I always have a fully stocked animal first aid kit with me wherever I go that includes basic care as well as emergency equipment. When it comes to puppies I'm happy to help with potty training throughout their stay at my home. Pets who are not potty trained (this applies to all ages puppy/adult/or senior who have more than a couple of accidents in the house a day) will have a $5/day increase for their boarding/daycare stay due to increased potty breaks, cleanup due to accidents, the products I need to purchase for thorough cleanup so they do not remark the same area, and keeping a constant eye on your pet to ensure their success. I would love to take care of your pets for you with the knowledge that I will put your pets well being and happiness before anything else.

Hailey was the perfect dog sitter for my baby. After meeting her we immediately felt comfortable with leaving our puppy with her and she kept us updated the whole week with images and videos. He had a ton of fun hanging out with her dogs and seemed to fit right in. We will definitely come back to her!!

My puppy seemed to enjoy his stay. He got excited when I pulled up into her driveway for his second stay. I think he realized where we were. He played his little heart out with her dogs so much so that he went straight to bed as soon as we got home.

Thank you Hailey for watching my pup, and being so flexible with your drop off and pick up times. I can tell my dog liked being there and I'll certainly ask you to watch him again.

Information Hailey P. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know your pets feeding schedule as they will be in a new environment which will be high stress, keeping to a schedule helps your pet settle in quicker and easier. I would also like to know if your pet has any food allergies or treats/bones that you do not want your dog to have. We do a daily chew bone for lunch and a bedtime dental treat in my household, and if that is something you would like for us to do then we can definitely do that. I just want to be sure I don't give your pet something that would upset their belly or something that you would prefer they not have. I would highly recommend bringing some of your pets favorite toys so that they have something of familiarity to help them settle in easier as well. I would also love to know if your dog is off lead trained and has a solid recall command so I know whether or not I need to keep them on a long line on trails or the creek. All breeds and sizes are welcome in my home. If your pet is not crate trained or does not have good leash manners I would love to know in advance so I can better prepare for their stay. I also need to know if your pet is not potty trained as there will be a $5/day increase to their boarding/daycare stay as I need to pay special and close attention to your pet as well as more frequent potty breaks and accident cleanups. Also, if your dog is known to be a little picky with dogs he likes/doesn't like or is dog aggressive in any way I would need to know in advance so I can make special accommodations for your pet to have a comfortable stress free stay.

A typical day

I live in a rural area that doesn't have any neighborhoods or heavy traffic, we typically go hiking on trails near my house that have creeks and fairly rough terrain. There is also a trail that I take that is easier on elderly/crippled dogs that still want to get out and walk. Although we have acreage and the dogs have free reign of it, I believe it is healthy for your dogs mind to take daily walks that stimulate your dogs scenses and instinctual urges that they would not get by just playing in a yard. We also play fetch once a day in the evening as well a training session to sharpen up and current commands or to learn new ones if that is something you would like for me to do.
