We frequently had other types of household pets like rabbits, rodents, reptiles, hermit crabs, etc. I was officially responsible for my first pet in 3rd grade. Before Rover, I also helped family members and friends for years with their pets while they are away. I discovered Rover in October of 2022, and I have loved meeting other pet lovers and caring for there fur babies ever since. As a result, I have a lot of experience caring for multiple pets at once or those with shy, rowdy, or defensive personalities. I currently have a cat who I adore and spoil endlessly. I wish I could have a pup as well, but traveling frequently unfortunately limits how many pets I can have, so I just make up for it through Rover!

Hailey was the ideal sitter. Visited on time, sent great pictures, got along well with our dogs, was highly communicative. We needed a new sitter within 24 hours with a flexible schedule and Hailey checked every box and more. I would absolutely recommend her to take care of your pets!

I take every precaution possible to prevent your pet from getting out. I am an expert at entering your home without your fur baby escaping between my legs, even your most slinky and stealthy cat. I always observe your pet(s) outside even in fenced areas, and ensure collars and leashes are properly fitted before going on walks. Cameras outside or in your living areas do not bother me and I actually prefer them so you can be reassured your pet is well-cared for! I also have a Cat and Dog CPR and First Aid Certification through the American Red Cross. Additionally, you can call or text me through Rover at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. Also, ignore the Rover stats - I ALWAYS send photos, of course! Rover just doesn't account for pet owners who prefer me to send them via text message rather than through the app.

I am very organized, so I don't mind pets who have detailed and specific requirements. I actually prefer your instructions to be as detailed as possible to ensure I am giving the best care. Please let me know the location and specific amounts for food via our chat through Rover or written on paper on your kitchen counter. Specific commands (words or gestures you use) or places where they are not allowed (i.e. counters, couches) is always helpful for me to know. Of course, please let me know if your pet has any special needs. I have experience with pets who have diabetes or autoimmune disorders. I have given both oral pills and liquid medications as well as subcutaneous (under the skin) injected medications, like insulin. I hate to see any pet who is uncomfortable so I do my best to give any medications with care.
A typical day
For dogs, I always let them outside immediately upon entering your home. I also ensure they have as much time outside as they would like. I enjoy being active, so if they love to run, I am happy to take them running with me. If they would rather play with toys, we can play fetch or tug-of-war as much as they'd like! Of course, there is also the cuddles-only type, so if your pup just wants to sit on me the entire time or wants all the belly rubs, then that's what they will get! If I am staying overnight with them, they are absolutely allowed on the bed if that is their usual routine. For cats, leave me their favorite laser or string toy and we will have a blast! Or they may loaf in my lap, on my face, or wherever they would like. We can also sit in silence until they are comfortable enough to approach me if they are the shy type. For all pets, if they have certain commands they are working on, please let me know as it is very helpful to try them with new people. Of course, they will have my undivided attention for however much love and playtime their heart desires! I know it is so hard to leave your fur baby while you're away so I do my very best to maintain their regular routine so they are as comfortable and happy as possible! Additionally, I can help with small house tasks (checking mail, watering plants, etc.) if needed. Please reach out with any questions! :)

I am a student in a hybrid Physical Therapy doctorate program, meaning most of my work is online. Fortunately, this gives me enough flexibility so that I can pet sit while attending school. The long hours I spend in class and studying daily from home can become dull, so I love having furry friends to visit! Additionally, all earnings from pet sitting helps support my education. My boyfriend is a graduate student in Indiana and my family is located in Texas, so I travel between both places. I am usually in Texas in the summer and the holiday season and Indiana during other months.
