Pet care experience
I’ve had all kinds of pets my whole life; dogs, cats, hamsters, fish... I eventually got my own dog while away from home in college, where I learned how important he is to me. I learned that our pets are our family and when we can’t be there to take care of them, it’s really scary. I’m a current dental student at UF and I learned that with Rover I can use my love for pets to make some money to pay back those hefty loans... and let local pet owners relax knowing their fur babies are in the hands of someone who will treat their pet like her own. Plus, I get a little pet therapy on my study breaks :) I am veterinarian trained on oral and injected medication. My pup has taken everything from pills, injections, and oral drops, so I would be able to provide this service to your animal if you need it. I’ve done a ton of research and followed professional training programs with my pup. We've gone through all kinds of training together including off leash training, behavioral training, as well as learning some party tricks. I have a crate for dogs up to ~80 lbs (~2.5 ft. tall). I also have two extra tall door gates. I'd prefer to have your pup crated or separated with the gate when I am not able to supervise for their safety, and the safety of my pup.

The most important thing to me is safety. Please let me know if they get along with other dogs, or have less favorable characteristics. It is not a deal breaker, but I just want everybody to be safe and have some fun! My boy loves everyone and every thing and would love to have some visitors as long as your baby would be good with him! Safety for all of the dogs is my #1 priority as well as easing your pups anxiety. If your dog is possessive, please don't send those items he/she guards, or let me know if I need to feed him/her separately (I typically do this anyway). I do not want to add stress because they feel they need to guard from me or my pup. If your baby is a puppy, are they potty trained? If not, we can work with it, but please let me know! I can do more frequent potty breaks as well as continue any training you do at home. Also, if there is any training you do at home, let me know! I can continue to enforce your family rules (no jumping, no laying on the furniture, sitting before meals) if you wish.
A typical day
I take my dog to the park every day or on long walks almost everyday. If you wish, I would love to take your pup with me. I have plenty of toys and balls to play with. We also go on long walks every morning and evening of at least 1-2 miles. We often walk over to the cows on 23rd street and visit them. While in the apartment, we love to play hide and seek, or let the pups run around in the living room.
