Flexible schedule, loving dog mom!

Pet care experience

I have cared for dogs (large, medium, and small breeds) at all stages of their lives. Growing up, my parents were committed to rescuing pups that wouldn’t have otherwise been adopted and I gained extensive experience caring for senior dogs, pups with health problems, and puppies. Today I have two rescued fur babies of my own—a Maltese and Siberian Husky; two breeds that require specific, high maintenance care and they are my whole world!

Hailey provided excellent care to both of my dogs. I was a little hesitant to leave a dog that was new to us, as she was heartworm positive and on several medications. Hailey listened intently and made she all was understood. The meet and greet was comfortable , and she expertly introduced each dog slowly. While I was away, Hailey provided updates and pictures, and even made a recommendation on how to improve how we were giving our dogs her medications , which helped immensely. We will definitely use Hailey again and I give her four stars!!

Hailey was awesome with Bowie! She checked in and sent pictures and Bowie loved her!

Hailey did a wonderful job taking care of my german shepherd! She’s a handful and I worried a lot about leaving her with someone else. But there were no issues and I came home to a very happy dog. Would absolutely reach out to Hailey again!

Hailey is extremely attentive and caring. I have two very grumpy senior chihuahuas who Hailey somehow managed to tame and socialize with their dogs. They are very organized and communicative, so you know you’re leaving your pet in good hands! Hailey is also physically able to walk all kinds of dogs even if they’re reactive and bigger - Hailey is strong enough to keep a grip on them. My biggest concern (for myself) is being unable to physically help my dogs if something were to happen to them. But that’s not a worry when Hailey watches the dogs. In short, Hailey is great with animals and humans :)

Information Hailey J. would like to know about your pet

Something that would be helpful is the different ways you have trained your dogs (signals, phrases you use, what is and is not okay for them in the home such as sitting on home furniture.) I will also need to know your reward system with treats, feeding schedule, medication needs if any, and expectations for care. If your pup is reactive, it would be helpful to know what triggers the reactivity, how you often prevent those situations and what helps your pup stay calm.

A typical day

I love going on hikes with my pups and especially taking them on the river trail here in Lansing! I also play a variety of games with my dogs such as brain activities, fetch (June’s personal favorite), hide and seek, and pup yoga for my Maltese’s joint health. I also love playing frisbee and tug of war with pups—my babies just aren’t too interested in those activities.
