Pet care experience
Hey all! I’ve been working in vet med as a vet tech for about 10 years now. My career and education has given me experience with animals, including special needs animals, special handling, basic first aid, medication (including injections), etc. I also have experience with volunteering at animals shelters, fostering cats and dogs, and my own pets; giving me a wide variety of experience such as training, handling strong and excited dogs on leashes, administering medication, CPR, and much more. I have two dogs of my own who are very friendly and who I take on walks, hikes and jogs and they would love extra company. If your dogs are not so friendly we can discuss the options! Additionally; I offer nail trims, anal gland expressions, and ear cleanings for an additional charge upon request. These are things I do several times a day at work, so I have plenty of experience.

Hailey was great. My pup Nellie stayed at her place all day. Lots of dog play all day on a hot day. Hailey was great communicating and sending photo and video updates throughout the day. She was flexible about my pick up times too. Plus Nellie got a bonus mail trim. Thank you Hailey. Would definitely use her again.

I would like to know any quirks that your dog may have. Is your dog an excellent escape artist? Will your dog snap at other dogs while on the leash? Does your dog chew or scratch at things he shouldn’t? I’d like to know anything and everything about your pet so I can prepare for the circumstances. It will not deter me from your pet if you provide info about the not so good quirks! I have worked with aggressive dogs too, so please let me know if your dog has any aggressive tendencies. I also would like to know how to make your dog happy!
A typical day
If your pet does okay in a car, likely we’ll be able to get a good hike in. If time is limited or the car isn’t a good option, we will be walking around the neighbor and exploring the parks. I can take dogs to the river to swim, to some fields to play fetch, etc. I work around the heat because my dogs need their exercise too! I also enjoy laying on the couch and binging some TV occasionally, if your dog is more of a home body.

Availability
I work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and am out of the house for almost 10 hours those days. I am still about to fit in a dog walk on the days or a drop in visit.
