I adjust to your dog's needs

Pet care experience

My name is Hailey Clough. Dogs have always been a big part of life. I used to work at Camp Bow Wow in Kemah. Camp Bow Wow is a doggie daycare and a dog boarding facility. We have all kinds of dogs that we take care of, so I have experience with all kinds of dog breeds. Every dog that comes to us has a different temperament, so I have had experience with aggressive dogs, however, there has been dogs that did not like me, but I know my limits and stay away from them. We have also had dogs of all different ages, from hyper puppies to old dogs that can barely walk. Along with the older dogs, we have had special needs dogs. I have personally never had a special needs dog in my play yard, but I have seen my coworkers with them. One in particular, was a blind and deaf dog, and I was continuously asking questions on how to care for him, just in case I had to supervise him at some point (I have worked with a couple of dogs with only 3 legs as well). I worked here for about 9 months, so I have learned a lot about different breeds of dogs, and how to specialize their needs. As well as this job, I have had a few dogs of my own in the past. Most of them have been labs or another type of working dog. I did most of the training for my pups, and all of them had different training techniques. I do not currently have any pets right now, though. Because I am no longer in school, and in between jobs right now, my schedule is wide open. Before anything, however, I'd love to have a meet and greet with you and your fur baby, just to make sure we are all comfortable with each other.

Information Hailey C. would like to know about your pet

I do not have any breed preference, however, before the walks, I will need to understand how aggressive your pup is, towards humans and other animals. Knowing this will help me know the precautions I should take if something happens during the walk. Your dogs’ safety is my #1 priority during these walks.

A typical day

For walks, I prefer to be in a place that I am familiar with (for safety reasons). So, if you and your pup are okay with it, I’d take a short car ride to my neighborhood, The Meadows, in League City (it is down the street from Clear Creek High School). I would walk (or run) with your dog for 3 to 5 miles, but if your pup is showing signs of heat stroke or I feel like he/she can’t walk anymore, I’d bring them straight home. If you or your pup are uncomfortable with the car ride, I would do roughly the same distance nearby your home.
