Pet care experience
I am currently working as a Vet Tech and am taking online classes at OSU, trying to earn my degree in Pre- Vet Animal science. My career and educations gives me plenty of knowledge and experience with animals/pets, including special needs animals, special handling, basic first aid, medication (including SQ injections), etc. I also frequently volunteer at an animal shelter, giving me a wide variety of experience such as training, handling strong and excited dogs on leashes, administering medication, CPR, and much more. I have two dogs of my own who are very friendly and who I take on walks, hikes and jogs and they would love extra company. If your dogs are not so friendly we can work around that too!

Hailey was great. My pup Nellie stayed at her place all day. Lots of dog play all day on a hot day. Hailey was great communicating and sending photo and video updates throughout the day. She was flexible about my pick up times too. Plus Nellie got a bonus mail trim. Thank you Hailey. Would definitely use her again.

I have a fully fenced back yard and two dogs that will be keeping your dog company (if acceptable). I am comfortable kenneling your dog while away, while sleeping, etc. I am open to almost any of your special requests as I know how stressful leaving your four legged friend can be!

I would like to know any quirks that your dog may have. Is your dog an excellent escape artist? Will your dog snap at other dogs while on the leash (even if he’s usually friendly)? Does your dog chew or scratch at things he shouldn’t? I’d like to know anything and everything about your pet so I can prepare for the circumstances. It will not deter me from your pet if you provide info about the not so good quirks! I have worked with aggressive dogs too, so please let me know if your dog has any aggressive tendencies. I also would like to know how to make your dog happy!
A typical day
If your pet does okay in a car, more than likely we’ll be able to get a good hike in. If time is limited or the car isn’t a good option, we will definitely be walking around the neighbor and exploring the parks. I can take dogs to the river to swim, to some fields to play fetch, etc. I work around the heat because my dogs need their exercise too!

Availability
I am currently working part time while taking online classes. I work Monday-Wednesday, but I can work with dog sitting/walking those days too in many cases. I walk my dogs everyday so getting your dog exercise will not be a problem! Because I do work, hike and travel frequently, I may not be the best option for a consistent dog walker that’s scheduled throughout the week, but I would love to fill in here and there and I would also be able to incorporate your dogs walk with my dogs walk almost any day!
