For the past two years I have been working as a Veterinary Assistant at an animal hospital in my home town where I perform any necessary tasks needed for day to day pet care. My responsibilities include dog walking, administering medication, monitoring pets pre and post surgery, administering vaccinations/other necessary injections, handling patient car/intake, care of hospitalized patients, among other things. I also participated in a 3 week internship shadowing a veterinary behaviorist where I learned to better understand animal social cues. I also helped instruct a puppy training class! In addition to this, I am receiving a certificate in Animals and Society from the University of Colorado. I have grown up with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and a frog. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and I am more than happy to look after any animal necessary! I enjoy the outdoors and hiking, and I would love to take your furry friend along with me.
