Pet care experience
I grew up with a grandfather who had a service dog for his medical condition and from a young age I was fascinated with dogs because of it. The way she could smell his blood sugar levels and alert him and constantly be loyal and obedient to him just amazed me. People are pretty amazing, but dogs are inspiring. I not only learned how to treat a dog to gain the best companionship from one, but also how to tame a dog in cases of leadership, because although they are smart, sometimes we have understand the world in ways they don’t, and that’s how we protect them, by setting boundaries. In conclusion, I have learned a lot through experience, observation, and questionnaire.

I love to play and pet and cuddle with dogs but I also enjoy taking care of them and knowing their wants and needs are not only met but exceeded to a point of excitement. Dogs are somewhat likes kids in that they need taken care of because they can’t do it themselves. Plus, they love to play, be loved on, have attention from people, similar to people/children and all those things are necessary for the health of a pet. As far as how I will care for your pet(s), will depend on what you ask of me and what boundaries you set for your pet(s). The secure feeling in knowing your pet(s) is taken care of in the manner you want or would have done is important for your peace of mind, and understandably so. I consider your requests or concerns with upmost respect because it’s ultimately about making you and your pet happy.

Lots of important info to know ahead of time, does the dog have any health issues or special diets, does the pet have a set daily routine, is it in the middle of training and if so, is there anything special I should treat or discipline it with. Where is the dog related items stored (Ex: food, treats, toys, cleaning items in case of accident, etc). I would of course ask as many questions I could think of ahead of time and in the moment and if something occurs that I did not ask about or unsure of how to handle, I will reach out to the owner first thing for guidance on how they would feel most comfortable with me handling whatever it may be.
A typical day
I really enjoy relaxing with dogs and petting them/cuddling with them while I talk to them. I also enjoy growing a close and trusting bond with them and getting to see how they react to peoples emotions. To build off of that, I also enjoy playing fetch, tug of war, being chased around playfully, or enjoy just sitting and staring out the window or sitting outside and staring at the sky and clouds. So I enjoy both ends of the spectrum with dogs, energetic to calm, each for special reasons.

I’m currently nannying part time in Lexington and working my way towards goals of owning a place of my own with my husband (far future goal) and looking to add in a side hustle into my life to make me feel more productive and contribute/work towards our financial goals in life.
