Pet care experience
I have owned my own dogs as well as cared for neighbors dogs and roommates dogs while they were away. I have been paid to pet sit and dog walk intermittently for about 8 years now. I have typically owned larger dogs (about 65lbs) but cared for a smaller dogs (10lbs). Most recently I fostered a 35lb Carolina mix for a few weeks who was a joy. We spent a while picking out his favorite toy (a rainbow wiggly worm stuffy) and played tug for hours. I have experience with taking care of both elder and puppy aged dogs. Dogs truly bring me so much joy especially when I can't have my own right now (I live with someone who is allergic) so I am very excited to meet some great dogs and I hope I get the opportunity to meet yours!

We were a little nervous leaving our 6 month old puppy with someone because she is a crazy teenager right now but Guinevere was excellent! She provided regular updates and pictures of our puppy and kept our house very tidy, it was like nobody was even here! I also swear our puppy is better behaved after a weekend with her. Would definitely recommend Guinevere to anyone! :)
Guinevere took amazing care of my two elderly dogs with walks and prompt feeding. She left my house cleaner than I did and was extremely responsive to communication even letting me know mid-trip that my pup needed additional meds ordered, 10/10 will hire again!
If you are searching for just the right person to care for your family pet, your search is over! I am SO grateful that we met Guinevere, not only was she AMAZING with our dog, she is true animal lover and I felt so thankful knowing that she was the one keeping Lou company while we were away. We were traveling for several weeks and I literally just relaxed and enjoyed the trip just knowing Guinevere was at my house! Our dog Lou is a rescue with some behavior issues which is where Guinevere was really amazing. This allowed Lou to stay in her own environment while we were away but with someone to walk her, keep her company and give her lots of attention! Guinevere came over several times prior to the stay just to meet Lou, play with her, go for walks and make sure Lou was comfortable- she immediately gained a trusting relationship with Lou. It was obvious to see how excited Lou was to greet her each time and that made us feel good about leaving. During our trip Lou had an ear infection, Guinevere observed her carefully and recognized that she needed medication and administered it for us and got her feeling better right away. She even offered to take Lou to the vet but thankfully it was not necessary because it was taken care of so quickly. Guinevere was very detail-oriented, super respectful of our home and even went above and beyond to take care of things like trash/recycling, watering plants and letting me know about packages. We returned to find a happy, well-loved and well cared for dog and home. I highly recommend Guinevere, she exceeded our expectations and I hope she will become a regular member of Lou’s family for future sits. 🥰🐾🐾
Gigi is super aware of her surroundings and has always taken good care of my dog!!! She makes safety her number one priority and is truly loving to every dog. She enjoys the time spent with my dog, and my dog loves her back just the same!

Before caring for your dog I like having all of the information from you that I may need i.e. vet information, your contact info + another person to reach, medication, special situations or habits of your fur friend. It is really important to me that the dog feels safe and cared for while I am there so I want to try to stick to their usual schedule and provide enjoyment for them whether that be through extra walks, tug of war, pets etc.

I'd love to know if your dog needs any medication ahead of time. In addition, how they behave with other dogs in multiple contexts like just on a walk or if another dog is off leash near them etc. Lastly, if they particularly enjoy doing something or get antsy if they aren't being fulfilled in some way. I find all this information helps me make your dog as calm and happy as possible.
A typical day
I like to see how much the dogs want to do but higher energy dogs may want to go for a walk in the Eno with me, lower energy dogs may want to hone in on their tricks. All of which I am down for.

Availability
I am currently a grad student so my schedule can be pretty flexible but I am usually always available all day on the weekends. I believe dogs should live a really fulfilling life so I like to go on walks, let them go at their own pace allowing them to sniff as they please. I am an avid runner so if your dog is more active and up for it I'd love for them to join me on my runs. Whatever your dog's needs are, I can usually adapt it to my routine.
