Why Rover? My girlfriend, Erin, and I have always dreamt of having our own dog. However, we are also very passionate about travelling around the world, so it doesn't fit our lifestyles right now. We love spending time with animals and will take any opportunity to do so. We frequently dog-sit for friends and family and occasionally take in dogs from the Canada Dog Guides during Christmas or other holidays when they would otherwise spend longs periods of time alone at the kennel. Erin has been part of the Puppy Foster Program at Canada Dog Guides twice in the past, where she and her family raised two black lab puppies until they were a year of age, providing them with basic training in preparation for the official Dog Guides program. I also had a Cocker Spaniel growing up in Spain for a few years. We’ve decided to expand our search for opportunities to spend time with these awesome animals, and we’re excited that with Rover we can help dog owners at the same time as fulfilling our dreams of having a dog. About Us: I, Guillermo, am an entrepreneur, half developer half marketeer consultant so I work from home, and I’m able to give full attention to your most loved ones. I love all kind of dogs, although I have a special preference for the big ones :) Erin works in civil engineering and is a part time musician. She also loves all dogs, but among her favourites are Bernese Mountain dogs and Golden Retrievers… so also a big dog lover. Activities: We live in Parkdale, close to Lake Shore. We will take your dog for runs and hikes during the summer and walks to Ontario Place Waterfront anytime of the year.
