I have been pet sitting since I was 8 years old and working with all sorts of animals since before that (on farms). I’ve taken care of rabbits, birds, ferrets, goats, horses, sheep, cats, reptiles, and of course dogs...dogs remain my favorite! I love running around with Airedale terriers or Burmese Pyranese livestock guardians, just as much as I love cuddling my little yorkies at home. I’m always willing to put the care of an animal first, I just can’t go on with anything else unless I know the animals I’m taking care of are doing well. I like to have a connection with every animal I take care of, anytime I’ve been paid to do so or not, I make sure to get to know the animal I’m responsible for so that I can fully care about said living creature (because there really is more to animals than we realize)!
