All shapes and sizes, Welcome!
Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals my whole life. Having dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and the occasional clutch of chicks to take care of will keep you busy! At the moment it's just me and my cat Sharky, though we are looking for a new pup to join us soon. I have been a primary care giver for dogs from big to small and I am practiced on basic dog training skills to work into a walk routine. I also have experience with elderly dogs and I am able to adjust routines to fit their pain tolerance of the day. I often find myself as one my friends and family call on to watch pets in a pinch.
Reviews
Mia, Standard Poodle, 10 years old I have had Grey watch my dog many times, both for check ins, and multi-day overnights, in my home and theirs. I have a very rambunctious standard poodle, 10 years going on 10 months. Very high energy. Grey is excellent at providing stimulating activities, keeping up with training, as well as lots of physical excersize-hikes and long walks. Grey often will send pictures and updates, and Mia is ALWAYS happy to see Grey. Would definitely reccomend Grey to anybody!
I've consulted and worked with Grey in pet-care related matters for over two years. Grey is a caring and compassionate person who has experience with the unique needs of high-energy dogs. Grey is great at following guidelines and boundaries set by pet owners--when I leave Grey instructions about my animal's care, I could relax knowing that Grey would follow those instructions and not take shortcuts. This is incredibly important to me as the owner of dogs that are working animals as well as loved members of the family! Grey has experience cat sitting as well and I was always grateful to know that my cats would be played for and entertained while we were away.

I prefer to have instructions in client's homes so I can match a pet's routine as close as possible. Without instructions I try to keep a flow to the day that makes sense for the pet, walk in the morning, relax and play at home, breakfast, an activity based on energy level (usually casual training or extended play/walk for high energy dogs), start winding down for the day with gentle play or casual training, a second meal (if necessary, I know some dogs are timid grazers) and one more walk to round out the day. Of course this is flexible and my preference is to follow the client's instruct first, it's just an example.
Information Grey G. would like to know about your pet
It's important for me to know if a per is reactive to specific triggers, like food aggression or dog reactive. I want to know the best way to keep myself and the dog safe and being prepared for behavior like that is the best way to stay safe.
A typical day
I start with a walk in the morning, relax and play at home, breakfast, an activity based on energy level (usually casual training or extended play/walk for high energy dogs), start winding down for the day with gentle play or casual training, a second meal (if necessary, I know some dogs are timid grazers) and one more walk to round out the day. If the stay goes into the night I'll have an evening walk as well for a final bathroom break. Of course this is flexible and my preference is to follow the client's instruct first, it's just an example.

Availability
I'm currently working freelance in the late evenings so I am happy to work around my client's schedules with proper notice. It helps that my usual routines with my own cat Sharky are late in the evening and early in the morning. She is a great alarm clock!
