Pet care experience
I am an Ithaca college graduate student living on South Hill looking to help care for pets. My family had a dog for 12 years and I've been walking and caring for cats and dogs of neighbors and friends since I was around 11 years old. I have experience with both large and small dogs, and have hosted many dogs in my own home before. I love animals, and miss having a pet of my own, but hope that I can spend some time caring for other's pets!

Gretchen was absolutely fantastic with our boy Hobbes! She quickly picked up on his little quirks/needs and created the best environment for him. Hobbes can be a bit of an old grouch now, but with Gretchen he was the happiest boy. She was so understanding and accommodating for Hobbes’ unique needs. I would 100% recommend her and would love to have her watch our boy again. Thank you Gretchen, you are a dog whisperer!!
Gretchen was amazing! Bella was very happy and comfortable with her. She eased my anxiety with updates and I felt my pup was in good hands. Would absolutely book with her again. ?❤️

Did a great job of checking in on our cats, doing the usual cat maintenance work, and playing with them for a bit. Everybody's happy. :)

Please let me know any special considerations your dog may have! I’ve worked with reactive dogs before, but just like to know ahead of time so I can plan routes that allow me to keep any distance your dog may need :)
A typical day
I like to make sure the dogs I care for are mentally stimulated with play, and I love going on long walks. For dogs that are more reactive, I have a backyard that provides nice outdoor time while maintaining distance from any other dogs.

I am currently in graduate school in Ithaca, and work part time, but am rarely away for my house for more than 4-5 hours on end between my job and school.
