While living in Upstate New York in 2004 I answered a Craigslist ad seeking a dog walker. I applied and was hired. This was an independent job (there were no dog care businesses there) and through word of mouth I steadily added a full roster of clients. I grew up with dogs and have always loved them. Now in my 40's I have developed great patience, compassion, and am a kind, conscientious person. I cannot have pets where I live, so it is a joy to care for others when I get the chance. I live on North Capitol Hill near Roy Street and Broadway /10th and can work in the immediate area. My preference is for walks and drop ins. My availability is limited to part time work for now, but this could change. I can work Monday any time, and most Thursday's. Tuesday and Wednesday only after 4 PM.
