Certified Dog Trainer
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Grant. I am a certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA) with experience in force free, fear free, and reward based methods. Most of my professional training experience has been with younger dogs and puppies, but I have also worked with many adult dogs on their social skills and manners training. I am particularly interested in working with dogs who are reactive and/or fearful. I also really enjoy trick training; my dog has earned three trick dog titles from 'Do More With Your Dog!'. My dog also works as a therapy dog through a local volunteer organization, making visits to schools and hospitals. I have several years of professional experience caring for animals in a shelter setting as an animal care attendant, dog trainer, behavior coordinator, and veterinary technician. My work has included grooming, walking, cleaning, feeding, training, providing enrichment, and medicating animals. I have cared for and handled dogs of all ages and sizes, from a few days old to 20 years old, <3 pounds to 120+ pounds. I love working with senior dogs! I have worked successfully with dogs that are rowdy, strong, reactive, stubborn, and/or fearful. I have experience working with dogs and cats who have special medical needs or need medication delivery, including injections.
Reviews
Highly recommend.
Grant is wonderful, professional, dedicated and goes above & beyond to take care of our fur babies. Really enjoyed and Grant really shows he care.
Grant took great care of my cats, one of whom requires insulin injections, via drop-in visits. I appreciated that he kept me informed on the other cat’s eating habits, and I liked the report cards and pictures. I had been worried that the diabetic cat would be difficult, but Grant was able to befriend him and give him the injections. I will definitely be booking with Grant again.
Grant was punctual and our kitty was well taken care of. We would definitely use Grant’ services again.

A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks around the neighborhood, focused on enrichment, decompression, and building focus on their handler.
