Grew up in a household full of pets---dogs, cats, mice, budgies, fish, tortoises so well used to caring for all kinds of animals. Still look after dogs for friends when they go on holiday. I feel that pets seem to know that I'm a good person to be around them. The feeling is mutual and I enjoy walking anyway but walking with a dog as company is more fun for both.I am a very active person too despite approaching my 70 th birthday and perhaps some pet owners might prefer a more mature person to look after their pets? Apart from 5 hours a week when I work with a few elderly clients as a befriender I am very flexible as to when In am available.
