Biology graduate applying for PhD

Pet care experience

I grew up with and currently have a yellow labrador retriever giving me 23 years of experience with dogs. I am easy to contact and quick to respond to either email or text. I am thorough in details to make sure your pet is properly cared for and given an enjoyable experience. I work on my own, there is not anyone else that accompanies me on visits. I am an avid outdoorsman and marathon runner so I have plenty of energy to match young dogs. I am available Monday through Friday from 8 - 5 PM for walks and/or check-ins. As a biology graduate, I have an academic understanding in animal behavior and decades of experience approaching new dogs. I can supply food and water, play, outdoor supervision, walks, and defecation clean up.

Graham did a great job with Sekhmet! She was so happy after her walks.

Graham Davis has years of experience pet sitting including walking dogs. He has also assisted his grandfather, a retired Veterinarian, with simple procedures. Graham has proven his dependability and responsibility in his 2 years as an Environmental Camp Counselor at the Upper Main Line Y and 10 years with the Youth Mentoring Program.

Graham is a close friend of mine who I have known for a few years. He is an extremely responsible young man, who always follows through on his commitments. As a pet owner himself, Graham loves his dog and enjoys taking long walks with her. I have no doubt that he will be a wonderful and responsible dog caregiver, for whoever is lucky enough to employ him.

Information Graham D. would like to know about your pet

Types of food the dog eats. Where said food is located. How many times a day the dog eats. Where their food and water dishes are located. The amount of food each dog should receive. Any medications and, if so, where medications are located and how medication is typically taken. Is the dog usually walked by collar or harness. On a drawback leash or strap leash. Does your dog need to be constantly restrained during outdoor activities or can they be trusted to return during games of fetch in an enclosed area. How does your dog interact with other people or other dogs in a new territory. How do they interact with strangers at home. Is there any medical or physical issues I need to be aware of and watch for. Would you like me to take picture or video of the dog throughout the day so you can see the activities.

A typical day

I prefer to find nature trails, walking trails, local parks or nature preserves that allow pets on leash compared to neighborhoods. Less interactions with roads and more room to move for the dogs that way. I have balls and frisbees designed for dogs to play with if I can find an enclosed area.
