Pet care experience
Me and my dog Oxford are a team, he is a rescued Yorkie mix from the San Gabriel Humane Society. I have been surrounded by pets all my life, from rabbits, turtles, hamsters, cats and dogs (German Shepherd as a kid, a Pomeranian, and now a Yorkie) I have used Rover as a client for over 5 years and I know exactly what it feels like to leave your dog in a new environment for long periods of time. I don't host more than 2 small dogs a night for boarding and 3 for day care. Your dog will be safer and more relaxed and you will be notified if an additional friend is joining the party. I believe that too many dogs can decrease dog safety. Day Care flat rate: Flexible drop off and pick up times. 6am drop off? no problem. Delayed pick up time due to unforeseen circumstances? Just let me know. Also, If you are new to Rover, for $20 off your first booking use the Promo Code: GRACIC50273. And if you use Rakuten, you can get $15 cash back on your first booking making your first day care virtually free.

Excellent service, my Bruno came home relaxed and happy. I was kept informed and had many pics…
Thank you so much for always taking care of my Ollie :)
My Ollie loved his stay! And I was very happy to get pictures and videos throughout the day :) will definitely be bringing him more often for more day care sessions. Thank you so much!
Graciela is exceptional in all ways possible. Her care for Kai, my 1 year old Shih-tzu, was above and beyond. I explained to her that I didn't expect Kai to eat his meal since he would be too distracted. However, she took the initiative to feed him by hand which more than did the trick. Kai had a wonderful time playing with her dog, Oxford, and for awhile, another boarded dog. The three dogs had access to a fenced backyard where they could roam. They could also come inside to comfy floor pillows and toys. As far as interpersonal skills, Graciela is very easy to work with. During our meet and greet, she put me at ease when I explained that the family event I was attending might not end on time. She said, no problem. Her attitude was about serving me in whatever way she could. I must mention that the many videos and pictures sent to me while I was away illustrated just how much fun Kai was having. If you need someone to care for your dog, Graciela comes with my highest recommendation.

When you leave your dog with me, they will enjoy unlimited trips to a safe backyard that is fenced with added mesh fencing on top for smaller breeds with escape artist abilities (My dog Oxford is 5 lbs) They will not be let out unsupervised and can stay and lounge out there for as long as they want. Oxford loves intermittent sunbathing and I am sure your dog will too. I also make sure they have tons of fresh filtered water (bowl cleaned and changed daily) because the California heat can be very dehydrating especially if they are playing all day. Dogs are free to roam around the house and backyard all day. They can also look out the window overlooking the street and watch cars and pedestrians passing if that's their hobby. The window is just a couch hop away. No walks will be provided so your dog will be 100% safe in the house. I invite you to bring your dogs bed, covers, toys, anything that can help them feel at home. They can jump on the couches and relax with Oxford. At night, if your dog is anxious, I can prepare their bed next to mine in our bedroom or wherever is most similar to their own home. So far 90% of the dogs have slept on my bed with oxford and I’ve noticed this helps them with their anxiety.
Information Graciela C. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog mark excessively? Do they bark and growl at other dogs if they feed too close to each other? Is there a specific behavior to watch out for? Is your dog on the dominant side (alpha)? Do they ignore commands? Are they food seekers? Do they like to dig? Are they jumpers?
A typical day
Typically your dogs first day will be letting them roam free to explore the back area and sniff away every corner of their new short term home. They will hang out with my Yorkie Oxford outside and inside as they wish. We'll play fetch if they have the energy, or lounge in the sun. Some of the dogs that have stayed like to alternate outside and lay on the couch or watch the cars and pedestrians pass by.

Availability
When I’m hosting, your dog will be accompanied the entire stay and NEVER left alone. I will feed, give treats, provide chin rubs and do everything according to your schedule! Oxford has no issues eating with other dogs next to him but I can provide separate and alone feeding if your dog prefers so. *Unfortunately I cannot host young dogs or puppies with excessively high energy due to Oxfords safety as they can jump and land on him. *Must have a meet and greet prior to boarding so we can make sure your dog and our home is the right place for your dog. You will have a live look at their first interaction which truly helps the owners feel at ease.
