Obsessed with your cat already! 😻

Pet care experience

**Disclaimer: I am a cats-only sitter. While I love all animals, my expertise and passion is for kitties which is why I’m thrilled to specialize in cat care here on Rover. If you’re looking for a feline-lover specifically to look after your cat/kitties, I’m your girl! Ask me about my sitter code for $20 off 😊 I have been a cat lover and enthusiast since I tamed my first feral at the age of 6. I have been surrounded by cats ever since and truly consider them my spirit animals as we share very similar temperaments and motivations. I hold their desire for autonomy, respect, and dignity in the highest regard while delighting in each of their unique and lovely personalities and quirks. I have a cat of my own who I adopted from Pawmetto Lifeline after fostering him for a few months. He is great with other cats so if you’re boarding with me and your kitty is open to friendships, there should be no issue at all! But if there is, arrangements can always be made to accommodate your special one 😌 I still foster cats for Pawmetto Lifeline intermittently and have enjoyed doing so for some years now. I was honored to have been nominated Foster of the Month last year! Most of the pictures on my profile are of myself and some of the fosters I have cared for over the last few years. Speaking of pictures, photography is another passion of mine which I enjoy utilizing to get my foster kitties adopted! I love taking pictures of cats and may even be able to provide you with a few choice shots of yours if they are not too camera shy ☺️ Most of my fosters have required special diets and/or at-home medical treatment at some point or another so I have plenty of experience administering medicine of all types (Chipotle employees themselves couldn’t perform a more snuggly and secure kitty burrito maneuver). Eye drops, oral medications, subcutaneous fluids- you name it, I’ve done it! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m very responsive to inquiries. I have plenty of experience pet-sitting for family members but am hoping to expand my services to people like yourself. I sincerely hope you’ll grant me the opportunity to find a new kindred spirit in your special boy or girl!

Gracen was wonderful from start to finish. We made a last minute booking and she accomodated all of our wants and needs. She was friendly, attentive and communicated well. She even sent pictures and videos of our sweet Smokey while we were away, which really eased our anxiety of leaving him for the first time ever.

I have worked with Gracen for awhile with the foster program at Pawmetto Lifeline. She is one of the most attentive fosters I have had the pleasure of working with. She takes on the hard cases with animals that are sick and need a lot of care. She literally saved a foster cat’s life due to her attentiveness and quick actions. I would recommend her to anyone and would trust that she has the animals’ best interests at heart.

I'm so happy to have the chance to give a testimonial for Gracen. I have known her all of her life and I can say with all authority that she is truly any animals friend. She has a caring and nurturing heart for any pet she encounters. She has sat with my dog many many times and they have bonded in a special way. She takes excellent care of Poe when I'm away and I never have any doubt that he is in good and loving hands. She is able to give him any medicines he may need at the time and she has vet tech experience so she's has some special insight that is often helpful. I know she especially has a heart for cats. She considers them her spirit animal. She's an exceptional cat parent and foster parent. Your pet could not be in better hands when you can't be with your furbaby yourself. I hope you will reach out to Gracen and find out for yourself.

If you’re looking to board with me, I encourage setting up a meet-and-greet in my home first to determine 1) whether our cats might be able to coexist peacefully and 2) to ensure you are comfortable with the space your pet will be residing in during their stay. My cat is extremely docile and enjoys the company of other cats. However, if either of our cats does not take to the other for any reason, arrangements can be made for me to keep them separate for the duration of your cat’s stay. All of my cat’s shots have been kept up to date through Pawmetto Lifeline. If you feel comfortable skipping the meet-and-greet stage, then I am open to that as well and will be happy to set your cat up in my bedroom with their own cat tower, food/water, litter box, and toys if a friendship with my cat is not something they are interested in pursuing. During a drop-in, I would take care of your kitty’s immediate needs and then spend the rest of that time ensuring they are as happy and content as possible- whether that would mean cuddle time, play time, or just being a calm, loving presence in the home. If you are outside of my preferred service radius, I may still consider accepting your booking request. However, please note that I will charge a higher drop-in fee for the additional time and resources required to fulfill the booking.

I would love to know ahead of time about any medical issues/requirements that are unique to your kitty. Please also let me know how often you would like updates on your pet(s) while they are in my care. Feel free to share any other information you feel is important for me to know!

A typical day

For boarders: The way that your cat and my cat interact during the meet-and-greet will ultimately determine how much of my apartment they will have access to. If our cats are open to one another, your cat will have their run of the apartment alongside mine as long as I am there to supervise them both. When I am not there to supervise, your cat will reside comfortably in the bedroom with their own cat tower, food, water, and litter box. If our cats do not see eye to eye, your cat will reside in my bedroom for the duration of their stay. You will be free to inspect the apartment during the meet-and-greet and as long as you are satisfied with the space as well as the arrangements described above, then we can book! If you feel comfortable skipping the meet-and-greet stage, I am open to that as well. For drop-ins: I would take care of your kitty’s immediate needs (food, water, fresh litter) and then spend the rest of that time ensuring they are as happy and content as possible- whether that would mean cuddle time, play time, or just being a calm, loving presence in the home.

I work full-time 8:30am-5:00pm which means I will be available for evening drop-ins M-F but will have a more flexible schedule on Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re interested in boarding with me, you may be happy to hear that I work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays. I’m in the office Wednesday-Friday but I live less than 10 minutes away from my place of work which will allow me to drive home on my lunch hours those days and check in on your pet at that time.
