Hi, I’m Grace and I recently graduated from the University of Florida. I majored in psychology in my undergraduate career and am planning on pursuing law. However, my true love is being surrounded by animals. I have been dogsitting for family and friends since I was 8 years old (14+ years of experience). I have been around countless dogs throughout my life, each with their own unique situation. I helped care for my family’s two special needs Golden Retrievers who required multiple doses of various oral medications throughout the day, so I am comfortable with senior and special needs dogs. I have experience with epileptic dogs, dogs with hypothyroidism, hip dysplasia, and numerous other ailments. I had the honor of owning a highly anxious, elderly dog, with numerous food allergies for the last four years of his life. I provided intense palliative care and created a selective ingredient diet to minimize his exposure to the many foods he was allergic to. I worked with him daily on his anxiety and socialization skills through regimented walks and desensitization. I highly believe in positive reinforcement and you just have to figure out what motivates that particular dog the most. I am confident that I can provide your dog with the best care possible and will cuddle and keep them company as if they were my own. As for my availability, I have an extremely flexible schedule and am available most days and nights. I am more than willing to modify my schedule to help a fellow pet owner get the best care for their animal(s). Additionally, I have experience caring for small pets, particularly rodents like mice, hamsters, gerbils. They’re another one of my passion pets and I would love to meet whatever creatures you call your friends.
