Natural born animal lover!

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Grace and like many others on here animals have been a passion of mine for my entire life. I currently have a 15 year old chihuahua mix named Ernie who can sometimes be a grump and a sweet and energetic 1 year old cat named Isla. Summary: - 6+ years of experience working in doggy daycare/overnight boarding which included some pet sitting through the company. - Volunteer experience in the cat room and walking dogs/cleaning kennels at Humane Society of York County and at CMPD Animal Care and Control in the kitten nursery. - 10 years experience pet sitting for friends and family and friends of friends. - Experience with my own elderly pets with special diets/medication needs During my senior year of high school I volunteered mostly in the cat room at the humane society near by until I graduated. I then took a gap year and got a job working at a doggy daycare 5-6 days a week until I started college and I took a break from working but still did some pet sitting for family and friends during that time. I got a job at a different doggy daycare about a year later when I started my second year of college and worked there 5 days a week for two years until I left to pursue flight school but returned seasonally for about two more years. Working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for so long has given me the opportunity to learn so much about dog behavior, temperaments, body language, bathing, nail trims, administering medicine (excluding injections) and how to remain calm in emergency sitiuations and handle them effectively and efficiently which I am extremely grateful for. I have also spent some time volunteering in the CMPD Animal Care and Control kitten nursery bottle feeding and taking care of their newborn kittens. I was American Red Cross Pet CPR/First Aid certified in 2013 and have experience with special needs and elderly dogs as well as dogs of all breeds and shapes and sizes and do not discriminate. I also have experience with my own elderly cat who became special needs the last year of her life until she passed at 18 years old. Thank you for your consideration and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!

Grace was super detailed in her communication! Every visit left me with at least 10 pictures of my cat, and I knew exactly what was going on and how she was treating my baby!! Thank you so much Grace for caring for my cat so well!! Couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Grace was so great with our cat who was recently diagnosed with Diabetes! She came to feed him and give him his insulin shot twice a day over the holidays. She sent plenty of updates and pictures and was diligent about her timing of the visit since his medicine is time sensitive. Highly recommend and will be leaning on her in the future! Thanks Grace!

Grace is amazing. She always sends such detailed reports about each visit. She also includes adorable pictures so I know that my fur babies are well taken care of. I highly recommend Grace to anyone.
