Active and Compassionate Care

Pet care experience

I have been blessed to take care of dogs most of my life, whether that be my personal animals or foster caring puppies and their mamas through the humane society. This exposed me to a wide range of dogs, various ages, breeds, health concerns, and traumas. Throughout these experiences, I was able to inject medicine orally and intramuscularly. I also learned of varying behavior stemming from traumatic experiences and how best to help the dog develop past this trauma. I have been happy to turn into a dog aunt with most of my friends; grateful to be able to take care of 1-3 dogs for up to 7 days at a time, ages ranging from 2 months to 10 years old. I love to introduce more training while exercising them with long hikes in town.

Grace is extremely responsible, caring, and playful. She cares for my dog as if she were her own. I know that if my dog is with Grace, it will be safe and loved for as long as she has her. Grace will not only spend quality time with my dog, but loves taking her out on walks and hikes. She knows what she's doing and is extremely receptive to my dog's needs and communicative with me about the time they spend together. I never have to worry when Grace is with my dog. I would recommend Grace to anyone who wants their dog to receive love, exercise, and personal attentive touches.

Grace is my go-to person whenever I need pet care for my young dog, and sweet kitty. Every time I leave my pets with Grace, I feel at ease knowing that they are getting the most attentive & empathetic care possible. I would highly recommend booking her for any services that you need. She is truly the best!

Grace is fantastic with all animals, and truly it’s hard to find a dog sitter as kind and empathetic as her! Due to her loving and calm nature, dogs gravitate towards Grace. She is very careful to tend to a dogs specific needs, and makes sure that each owner is communicated with thoroughly. My own dog is very attached to Grace, and I’ve always appreciated the attention to detail Grace has in her care-plan. She follows directions diligently, while being incredibly playful and sweet. Grace’s energy is meant to be caring for creatures, and you’ll feel so safe leaving your pup in her hands!

Grace is awesome. I recently adopted a new puppy, and I was very nervous about leaving her for the first time - but Grace made me feel great about it! She sent updates and photos of my pup out and about having fun, and even picked up her toys so I came home to a clean space and a tired dog (perfect after a long day of traveling). My 7-month old pup can be a bit much, and Grace handled it like a pro- I would recommend her to anybody!

I have a dog friendly home with a large, fenced in yard. I have a gate for the kitchen if need be or if your dog is in sweet puppy stages. In a client's home, I show respect and cleanliness while having a thorough physical checklist to make sure everything is in order in the house as well as with the canine friend. I maintain the privacy of the client while aiming to have a pleasant welcome upon your return home.

Information Grace S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or quirks I can be made aware of to help the dog feel as safe as possible. I am always excited for a meet and greet too! Attentive, compassionate, and thorough care is my aim.

A typical day

I love to give dogs a range of stimulation when in my care. I bring my canine friends to local hikes in town, ranging from Blue Mountain, the Rattlesnake, or Pattee Creek. If they get along with other dogs, walking them in town near the dog park is a great a way for them to meet new friends as well. Taking them to an enclosed outdoor area and playing fetch, frisbee, or chase is another great pasttime. After a hike, I like to offer the dog some "enrichment' treat stimulation by hiding a small amount of kibble in a cardboard box and letting them tear into it to find the food.
