Hi! My name is Grace and I'm a long time dog owner/lover. I own a mini dachshund poodle mix (you may have seen us around Lake Merritt) who is about 6. I have dog-sat for many friends over the years, everything from a senior chihuahua to a larger pittie mix. I love giving dogs the special attention they need - whether that means being active with a high-energy pup or giving special attention to a loving senior dog. I have a flexible day job in Oakland (and can work from home) so have a good amount of availability. I have the option to bring my pup with me or leave her at home for walks, whichever your pup would prefer! For overnight stays, I need to be able to bring Heidi along with me (note - she is afraid of cats). Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have.

Grace was a super responsive and responsible sitter. Before we left, she asked all the right questions. And while we were away, we loved getting photos (and even video) of our dog. I wouldn't hesitate to ask her to sit again!

A typical day
I love to take dogs around Lake Merritt for a good length walk and some socialization (although this isn't for every dog!). I'm always down to play interactive games - fetch, tug, etc and enjoy giving pups a physical and mental workout - practicing any tricks or commands they may know.
