Patient cat and dog-loving neighbor

Pet care experience

I've taken care of family and friend's dogs and cats since I was in high school, including caring for senior dogs who need mobility assistance and have a hard time hearing and seeing. I also volunteered at my local animal shelter during college, where I had weekly, 3-hour shifts and would walk 4-6 dogs during that time, and play with them indoors and outdoors. I have experience with various sizes of dogs, from a small chihuahua to a 100-lb lab, and with numerous cats of very different personalities. I also have experience caring for my own pet rats, and others' rodents and reptiles (rabbit, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons). With clear instructions from you, I would love to care for any rodents, reptiles, or amphibians as well! You can list these animals as "Cats" within your Rover profile.

Safety, trust & environment

I like to get to know you and your pet before caring for them in order to make sure we’re a good fit (so, I do require a Meet & Greet before booking). Whether they're an energetic dog who will want a high energy walk, or a shy cat who might take some time getting used to a stranger, I want your pets to feel safe, cared for, and happy. I'm unable to offer any services in my home as we have one cat who prefers to be queen of her domain, but I'm happy to work with what your set-up looks like. Please note: I have a severe peanut allergy so if feeding your dog peanut butter or peanut treats is a big part of their routine, I won't be able to provide those foods, but if they can go without while in my care, that's okay!

Information Grace L. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your furry kid has any specific needs or preferences so I can make sure to take care of them just like you would! Also, please let me know all expectations you have of me while your pet is in my care (whether for drop-in visits, or housesitting!)

A typical day

With dogs, I love walking especially in nature areas and can safely transport your dog if that's something you're interested in! I also think it's great to have a consistent walk around the neighborhood so your dog can learn their area. With cats, I love cuddling and playing with feathers, laser toys, or whatever else your cat may like (because we all know it's a random household object rather than the toys we spend money on).
