Hello! 👋🏼 I'm a passionate pet care provider who truly understands the animals I work with. My love for animal behavior has been around forever, but officially kickstarted when I was 15 because I needed a service dog during high school. I honed my skills by training with a local disabled handler community and raising my service dogs. In college, I volunteered with Canine Companions for Independence as a puppy raiser and studied dog behavior under a veterinary behaviorist, which allowed me to work with a variety of different dogs and people, and learn more about their combined unique personalities and needs. This experience has given me the skills to provide comprehensive pet care that takes into account the biological needs of dogs. I'm a friendly and caring person who is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your furry family, and I'm well-versed in dog body language. I would love to meet you and your pet to discuss how I can help you all live your best lives using science-based approaches, or simply have fun moments together!

I am experienced in management techniques for aggressive/reactive animals and practice cooperative care skills when applicable. For multiple dogs or new clients, I value getting to know dogs' personalities and quirks one-on-one. Periodically, I will have a trainee that I may ask to bring with me to observe and help, but that is always communicated ahead of time and is completely up to my individual clients' discretion. Clear communication is key to improving safety, so I love to ask questions to improve my understanding of each situation.

Providing me with a list of things your pet is nervous about, allergies, what they love, and their general routine is a great place to start. This is a judgement-free zone, and I'm here to help!
A typical day
Mental stimulation is essential for a happy and fulfilled dog, and I have lots of experience coming up with innovative and resourceful games to keep pups engaged and stimulated. Some of my favorite examples include 'sniffaris', snuffle mats, and 'Pupsicles' - all designed to keep dogs happy, healthy, and entertained! In addition to these games, fetch, scentwork basics, target practice, and puzzle toys are great ways to keep dogs engaged while tiring them out.

I'm currently working from home, so generally, my schedule is relatively flexible at the moment. I prefer to clearly schedule my business weeks ahead of time, to make sure I always have enough time with each of my clients.
