Pet care experience
I grew up with two dogs of my own and a strong love for all animals. I have a large variety of experience with dogs, cats, and and animals of all kinds. I started walking dogs at a local kennel in high school and since then, have had a myriad of pet-sitting jobs—for friends, family, and strangers! I also previously worked as a Veterinary Assistant in four different veterinary offices when was younger, so I can work with dogs and cats of all mannerisms and at all stages of their lives. I am completely comfortable medicating or attending to any special needs. And of course, I love to play and/or snuggle. :) Altogether, I have around 20 years of experience caring for animals, 7 of which were spent working at least part-time at veterinary clinics. I love animals, am extremely attentive to them, and I would love nothing more than to take care of your little guy/girl. I have not done a lot of Rover-ing in Richmond but have been a Rover sitter in Arlington and Charlottesville, VA previously. Trying to get back into it now that I have a townhome!

Highly recommend Grace! Our plans changed a few times during the booking process and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. She was great with our dog and sent daily updates! We returned home from vacation to a very happy dog!

I really can’t say enough good things about Grace. She is so responsible, leaves the house better than she found it, and my fur babies are always happy and well cared for. Grace was wonderful--great communicator, responsible, took excellent care of animals and house, clearly loves dogs, sent lots of adorable photos. We really like her, and will definitely ask her again!

I live in a townhome and have a small fenced in yard that is good for potty breaks and some outdoor chilling, but there are also plenty of areas around me to walk the dogs. I have a 2-year-old 55 lb mixed breed dog named Baloo and a floofy orange cat named Bennett, so any dogs staying with me would need to be dog/cat friendly (or at least tolerating). If I come into your home, I am respectful of your space and able to follow instructions well.

I do not have any breed preferences, but as mentioned before, they must get along with my dog and cat. The more information I have about what your pet does and does not like, and their important routines, the better!
A typical day
I can take your dog for walks and to enjoy fun new activities, or stick to his/her regular schedule...whichever you prefer! My dog Baloo would be more than enthused to partake in special outings with your pup if he/she is up for it.

Availability
I only have weekend availability because my job is too unpredictable to know when I’ll be home during the week. But happy to keep your pets at my place or come to them for check-ins/walks over the weekend! On the weekends I’m home, I am always around and they will be fully attended to.
