Moses, our very active, loving 65 lb Goldador, has the mindset that anything in his mouth is his to keep. Grace was watching Moses when a bottle cap fell to the ground. Moses immediately had the cap in his mouth. Concerned that Moses might choke on the bottle cap, Grace immediately tried to retrieve the cap from Mo's mouth. Moses reciprocated by biting Grace. Grace was very upset but not at all with Moses. She was upset with herself for not recognizing Mo's body language and not using a treat to get Moses to release the bottle cap from his mouth. Post bite, Moses and Grace have a great relationship with zero incidents. The way Grace handled a painful bite shows her love of canines and her commitment to the never-ending, on-the-job training that defines canine care.
