Energetic And Fun Animal Lover!
Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals my whole life. Either pet sitting for my neighbors or training and playing tug of war with my Shiba Inu (who currently lives in another household) or chilling with my cat, I’ve always been enthusiastic to play and live with all types of animals! I got my Shiba Inu as a puppy and trained him all the way until now! Since Shiba Inus are a tough breed, I’ve learned to train and control him even at his most stubborn moments. Since my dog currently lives at my family’s house (due to apartment rules), I’ve been missing my daily interaction with animals and am hoping to exert some energy into walking/pet sitting other’s pets! I’m super excited to get to know all the local pets and pet sit them whenever it’s needed!

Grace was awesome! I was away for just under two weeks and I’m usually pretty worried about my cats when I have to leave them alone. I’ve never had a cat sitter that my cats actually like and allow them to pet them, but they made friends with Grace within a day or two and it was so nice to know they were having fun while I was away! Grace also left very thorough updates and was very attentive when checking on them. I definitely plan to book her again in the future!
Grace provided great updates throughout her visit and photos! It was great to see our cat happy and fed :)
Grace took great care of Kiyo! We were nervous about leaving him alone for the first time as an “adult” because he’s still very kitten like, but we were able to rest assured knowing Grace was interacting with him every day! We loved reading the short updates and seeing all the pics she sent. Such a relief to know your loved one is receiving good care and attention when you’re away.

That includes play time, fun and engaging walks, timely feed times, and of course, nap times (for the animal). If the household has a specific way to handle the animal, I will be sure to respect the owner’s requests to the best of my ability! I am also comfortable feeding animals medication.

A typical day
We will go on engaging walks where the dogs can exert their energy. We can also, if the owner allows, go to local dog parks where the dog can interact with other dogs and socialize a little bit! I will always be equipped with a ball or a toy so we can always have a fun time playing catch! If allowed, we can drive to Rock Creek park and go on a fun little hike!

Availability
I’m currently working on a flexible hybrid schedule (in the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays) for work as a risk analyst at a financial institution and am available to sit all week long if the request is booked way ahead of time, otherwise, I am available Monday, Thursday-Sunday. My fiance, Douglas (a more pet lover than I am, although I hate to admit it), can help out during the days I'm in the office but of course only if the owner is comfortable with that accommodation! I've had multiple bookings with that accommodation and it has worked out wonderfully. I can walk any time during the day (but will inform you ahead of time if a day/time does not work out). I am also a morning bird so I really do not mind waking up early for an early walk or check-ins!
