Experienced Dog Rescuer and Foster
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Grace and I've been caring for dogs since I was 9 years old when my family got our first dog. I am an experienced dog foster and have helped find loving homes for over 200 dogs since I first started fostering from a local animal shelter in 2012. I have two dogs of my own, both rescues: a lab mix named Juno and a Havanese named Bennett. As a dog foster, I have dealt with aggressive and abused dogs as well as those with special needs so I am able to handle just about anything! I'm originally from New Jersey but attend grad school in Michigan where I study human-computer interaction. I'm excited to explore nearby parks with your canine companion and would love any suggestions you may have regarding things to do and places to visit.
Reviews
Grace was wonderful! Will definitely ask her to help with Lola again!
Grace is a very patient and loving care-taker to animals. She is surrounded by dogs in her home and has experienced many different types of dog temperaments through fostering dogs. She quickly gains dogs' trust with the help of her calm natured personality.
Grace has over 10 years experience caring for dogs, birds, rats, fish and guinea pigs. She has fostered and rescued dozens of dogs so has dealt with many different breeds and various types of temperament. Grace is a very responsible, dedicated individual and a terrific task master. I would fully entrust Grace witch the care of any of my pets or children.

Safety, trust & environment
I am very diligent when it comes to the health and safety of pets. I always check to see if there are any special instructions for a pet so I can meet their individual needs. When walking, I double lock the dog’s leash at all times and always check for oncoming vehicles, other animals, or people that may spook the dog. As someone with a reactive dog myself, I am very mindful of potential triggers on walks and I am experienced in handling such situations. Beyond health and safety, I also want to ensure every dog has a fun and enjoyable experience. I take time to let dogs sniff to their heart’s desire and give them lots of pets along the way! I love to give each dog belly rubs and treats at the end of a walk to reward them for being such a good boy or girl.
Information Grace B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any anxieties or triggers that I should avoid, especially on walks. It also is useful to know about any health conditions. On a more fun note, I’d love to hear if your dog has a favorite walking route, toy, or treat!
A typical day
I love to walk my dogs to parks, like Mindowaskin Park in Westfield, or to other natural and beautiful areas. The dogs really seem to enjoy all the sights and sounds of nature! Some of my favorite activities include tug of war, fetch, belly scratches, and chase.
