Journey Sits While You Journey

Pet care experience

I've been a pet owner for over 15 years. My Belle was a 99 lb gentle giant. I loved her from pup to her geriatric days. That included having to give My Girl daily injections, pills, and supplements. I now have 2 cats that are 14 and 13 that sleep most of the day. My doggo Journey is a 60lb yellow English Labrador Retriever. Sweet and inviting of everyone including furmates. She loves the littles. I never gave her a chance to breed so her maternal instincts come out and she cuddles the littles. I often say to my girls that I work hard just so I can afford this animal house - and I love it. I wouldn't have it any other way. I would have 4 dogs of my own full time- bit it wouldn’t be fair to them not to be able to shared equal time and ❤️.

Gloria took excellent care of my crazy little pug Bean while I was away on vacation! She kept me updated with photos and videos which I greatly appreciated because Bean does come with some separation anxiety which a little nerve wracking but he just had THE BEST time of his life! Bean, Journey, and Gloria had a great time taking walks around the neighborhood which wore the little guy out as well as playing fetch inside! Bean had so much fun I will definetly use Gloria again if I ever need someone to watch him.

Gloria was very accommodating to exercise my 1 year old puppy German Shepherd mix. He came back tired and happy!

I don’t have a fenced yard. The fence on my property is ornamental. My girl has learned the boundaries - so she is off-leash unless we step past that fence. I would not let any doggos off leash and supervise rough play in the yard.

Information Gloria R. would like to know about your pet

I will want to know - Is your dog is leash trained? Is your dog crate trained? What is your dog's temperament? Does your dog have any food allergies I need to be aware of? Does your dog require administration of medication? How does your dog behave with cats? I have 2. Also for Boarding or Daycare - I WILL require a Meet and Greet to make sure your doggo(s) get along with my dog; your doggo(s) isn't interested in my cats, and to see his/her leash manners.

A typical day

Journey and I take lots of walks around the neighborhood and down in the greenbelt at the end of our street. During the Summer months it is too hot to go during the day, so we take a long walk in the morning, she usually naps until 10a, and I'll get her out again to get some sun or play a quick game of fetch, or pull out some water toy or small kiddie pool. We'll come in and I'll give her a frozen lick mate that has frozen bananas or strawberries on it. She’ll nap ? more during afternoon after we came in, or she will play with her neighbor pupper in the living room or kitchen. I'll bring out interactive games, sit with the puppers for cuddles and love if they allow; and we take a long walk again when the sun goes down. I wear a headlight and the pupper wears an reflective vest. Safety first. We have to be seen!
