Information that is important to know ahead of time about a dog would be: Are they leash trained? Do they have any problems on walks ? Or any special instructions on what to look out for on walks? Do they pull on leash ? Is it best to keep them away from other dogs while on walks ? Or people?

While I'm caring for a dog, I will first make sure I great myself and call the dog by their name to guide them to allowing me to get near them and earn their trust. I will then start with their walk to make sure they use the bathroom. Then if time available I will use it to play, either a fetch game with them or have them run and chase them. And lastly I'll make sure they are safe back home, and secure any locks if needed.
