Pet care experience
I will care for your fur baby as if they're my own. I respect that each pet has a unique personality, and I will be conscious of that when caring for your pet. I think it's important to respect each pet and their space so I'm adamant about introducing myself to your pet & creating an environment where your pet feels comfortable at home. In addition to owning 2 cats & 1 dog, I have years of experience pet/house-sitting. I have experience training puppies, caring for sick cats/dogs, caring for senior cats/dogs, and bathing & grooming cats/dogs. I've cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and ages. I also have lots of experience taking care of multiple animals, each with their own needs, at one time. I think it's important to keep pets as active as possible so I always like to play with any toys that are available. I also love long walks and hikes, and having a furry friend, makes them so much more enjoyable! If your pet is more chill, don't worry-- I love snuggling, too :)

Gisela was a wonderful pet and house sitter! She took great care of my dog and my cat and my house was probably cleaner when I came home than I left it. She sent lots of pictures and was super responsive when anything came up. I would definitely recommend her for all your pet sitting needs!

How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? This will vary depending on which service you offer. For cats, I, personally, feed my cats twice per day, but I will adjust for your cat's needs. I check the litter box frequently, and if you'll allow me, I'll vacuum any litter I see on the floor, etc. I like to spend at least 15-20 minutes per day playing with your cat/s and engaging them. For dogs, I like to start with a morning walk and make sure they do both business. After our walk, I'll feed your dog/s and make sure they have enough water. I'll hang out for a little after that, just to keep them company and make sure breakfast went down okay. I'll come back around mid-day for another walk & some play time. In the late afternoon/early evening, I will return to feed your dog/s and walk them. In the late evening/early night, I'll come back for the final walk of the day.

I always like to know about a dog's temperament: what gets them excited, what calms them down, what they like/don't like (if there's a bone buried in the yard that she'll growl at me for coming near), etc. Beyond that, I like to know of any special needs/care the dog requires.
A typical day
I love going on hikes/walks. If your pets are up for it, we can go all around. I like walking the neighborhood, but I also like all the trails by the Rose Bowl & up in Altadena. If your pet likes dog parks, I'm happy to take them to some dog parks to run around and socialize. I like playing fetch, tug, etc., so if you'd prefer your pet stays at home, they'll still get plenty of engagement. I love just hanging out & petting/massaging pets, too, so there will be no shortage of that.

Availability
I'm a freelance photographer so I make my schedule. Most of my photoshoots take place during golden hour so I'll likely care for your pet (feeding, etc.) before the shoot & then come by again after for a final walk of the day. My mornings and mid-days are usually spent doing computer work so I'll likely come by a couple times in the morning/mid-day for a morning feeding/walk and a mid-day walk. This is, of course, dependent on your pet's needs. If they need more attention, I can arrange that as well.
