Gio and Vanessa are great! This would be the first time we were unable to leave our two Havanese with family. We almost cancelled our vacation but thought we would try to meet with someone that professionally took care of dogs. We were looking for someone that would watch our two dogs with as much care as we do. Initially, we saw Gio’s profile picture to include his family and of course this is a family affair. We communicated with Gio and Vanessa and quickly met with him and his family. Our girl dog is super shy and typically doesn’t warm up to people outside the family, but she warmed up to Gio and Vanessa in our initial conversation. We wrote a detailed description on their care. Gio read the description and asked more in-depth questions. Their care was a priority for him. We were super impressed with their love of animals. During our vacation Gio sent messages and daily videos. My family and I would stop what we were doing, watch the video and then talk about how much Gio and Vanessa were spoiling them. We could tell the dogs were happy in the videos so that gave us a peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our vacation. No matter how much we told Gio the dogs were flexible he kept to their normal habits and schedule. Our boy dog doesn’t always eat when we ask him too. Gio sat with him while he ate just to be sure he got his daily food. I know it is small, but Gio also brushed their hair daily, so they looked the same when we picked them up as when we dropped them off. He definitely paid close attention to them because he picked up on some of their normal behaviors. We will absolutely ask Gio and his family to watch our dogs on our next vacation. Giovanni offered an initial meet and greet with my sweet senior, sensitive pitbull Indigo. During the introduction, Giovanni explained his motivations for dog sitting and his personal history having furbabies. He asked me many questions to ensure that he could give my furbaby Indigo the best care. Giovanni, also, shared his flexibility with drop-off/pick-up times…while spending a significant amount of his personal/free time getting to know Indigo. Indigo took to Giovanni’s warm, caring and attentive energy and the calm space of his loving family home. After the introduction, I had zero anxieties about the superior care Indigo would receive from Giovanni. My instincts were affirmed by the updates, pictures and videos. Upon picking Indigo up, she was excited to see me, but very happy and not yet ready to leave- which is an anomaly for her! I am so thankful for this first sitting experience and hope to continue to foster this wonderful relationship. I can tell Indigo looks forward to returning and I will make those arrangements again soon!
