I was really disappointed with her service. After reviewing my cameras that I have in the house, it shows that she was sleeping 90% of the time or watching tv. She shoved my 5 month old puppy off the couch multiple times so she could become more comfortable while sleeping. She didn’t feed him anything throughout the whole stay. Didn’t take him or my other dog for any walks, and the weather was ...

Never Alone!

We understand your concern with finding the right person to deliver the kind of care that your dog deserves. We value and honor the trust you place in us to make the best decisions regarding your dog's safety, happiness, and well being.

BOARDING IN OUR HOME:

I spent two decades as a certified teacher and social worker, but in August 2012 my husband Bob and I started a family business providing pet care and exercise ...

What Ginger would like to know about your dog

In order to get to know your dog as much as possible and to provide the highest level of care, I developed a 5-page questionnaire that targets various areas including personality, exercise, nutrition, and medical care.

While we don't have breed, gender, or size preferences, we do have several requirements:

Dogs must be current on vaccinations;
Dogs weighing over 20 pounds must be able to climb up and down the stairs by themselves;
We almost always have at least 5 dogs in the house, so if your dog is uncomfortable around other dogs, s/he will not like it here;
All dogs must be clean and free from odor; otherwise, a $20 bathing fee will be assessed.
All dogs must be protected against fleas and ticks

Most parents want to know what their dogs should bring for their vacation. Our guests are encouraged to pack as few things as possible. The basics are

food (we'd be grateful if you would measure your dog's meals in baggies)
treats (no rawhide, please)

Please, no crates, toys, bedding, or beds. We have plenty of everything! Blankets are o.k., but please note they may get torn and/or soiled during dog play.

When Ginger watches your pet

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Your dog will sleep where you think is best. Most dogs prefer to sleep on the couch. Some prefer to sleep in one of our bedrooms. We do have one crate that a dog occasionally likes to sleep in.

Time I'll spend with your dog
To give you an idea of what a typical day looks like, we start our day at 7 a.m. Around 9 a.m.,

Throughout the day, we go in the backyard to play, and sometimes we'll go to the pet store or the dog park. One of us is always home, so if someone needs to run an errand, the other stays home. Dogs are welcome to run errands with us, with your approval of course. We provide dinner around 6:00. We usually go to bed around midnight.

Extra house-sitting services
Dog Walking (within our service area)
Let-outs (let dogs out into the yard and feed them)
Cat care (clean litter box, provide fresh water and food, brush fur)

We will go over a checklist with you during our interview so that we can ensure your complete satisfaction.
