Pet care experience
My experience with animal care started early in life. My family bread puppies and kittens and as a young child, I enjoyed taking on the responsibilities of caring for mothers and babies alike. I later assisted my mom with her foster cat program which involved caring for animals with many different needs and health conditions. I supervised a doggy daycare and boarding facility for three years. During that time, I acquired experience with all kinds of special needs from strict diets to administering meds, including injections and some vaccinations. I think the most valuable thing I gained from that experience was the hundreds of hours I spent supervising doggy playtime. I developed an intimate understanding of dog behavior and interaction. Since then, I have done some professional dog walking over the years, but I have mostly tended to my personal pets. I currently have a 3 year old Siberian Husky. Her name is Billie. She loves to play but knows how to take a hint when playtime is over.

Ginger and Jacob are the BEST!!! I was so nervous leaving our fur babies but Ginger and Jacob were so kind and caring! They took great care of Bella and Lulu and sent updates with pictures frequently. I loved the large fenced in back yard and didn’t have to worry about them escaping. Thank you both for your kindness and taking great care of our fur babies!
My puppy had an amazing experience with Ginger and Jacob. They both did a great job on watching my puppy. It was great to have other dog that could play and match the energy level with my puppy. They also kept me updated with my puppy on her well-being.
Ginger and Jacob were wonderful! They sent pictures and updates every day and went above and beyond in taking care of our dogs on short notice so we could travel for a family emergency. I was worried my pups would not want to come home because they had so much fun at their house. Will definitely use them again.
Ginger was great! Thor can be a handful sometimes and needy, but she was able to keep him active all the time and give him all the attention he needed. I received pictures and daily updates which was great and made me feel at ease. Book with confidence

We live on 1/3 acre lot in which most of it is a wooded fenced in backyard. We are in a quiet neighborhood where most of the traffic is people out walking their dogs. There is plenty of shade in the summer. We also have a large deck we keep shoveled in the winter which is nice for dogs with mobility issues. The whole yard is visible from inside the house and we let the dogs in or out as they please. We have a large comfy couch that clean dry dogs are welcome to snuggle on and various dog blankets, beds, and towels around as needed. We do not have any kennels, but can make room for yours if that what your pup needs.

Let me know if there are any particular behaviors I should know about in advance. These could be things like what make your dog nervous, or is there a que your dog needs in order to wind down for the night. We do have a young child, so all guests must be good with babies and a meet and greet is required before booking. One behavior we cannot accommodate is constant barking either inside or in the yard. We don't expect our guests to be silent, but we have nap times and bedtime, so we do need to bring the volume down during certain hours.
A typical day
Most young playful guests get their energy out playing in the yard with our dog Billie. We do like to get out for walks on the trails near our house most days so dogs in need of exercize, that require encouragement, can be included on these outings.

Availability
We are currently in the off season of our seasonal business. My husband and I take turns doing a little part time work, but mostly work from home. We have a young daughter so one of us is almost always home unless we all go somewhere together and those trips are usually pretty short (as anyone with 10 month old might imagine.)
