Pet care experience
I've had two rescue dogs over the past 20 years one of which had leash aggression and trust issues but I was able to earn her trust over time and craft strategies to avoid other dogs. I also cared for my Dad and his pet Shar Pei, including after surgery and am adept ad hiding needed medications. I am self employed and work from home so I can take frequent breaks to play and/or walk. I would routinely walk my dog first thing in the morning and then she would have the front porch and back yard to enjoy. I have a fenced back yard and a fenced/gated front porch that gets morning sun for doggies that revel in the sunshine. The back yard is large and there are turkeys and deer around for observation and the occasional turkey chase if they are in the yard. I have dog bed for naps and can follow crate instructions if you have them.
Reviews
Gina did an excellent job at taking care of Nacho- my 10 lb chihuahua mix! She was wonderful at catering to his needs. She made sure he was safe in the yard and comfy on the stairs in her home. She kept me updated on how he was doing multiple times throughout the day while I was away. When I realized I forgot a toy for him, she got him one! It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands! Would definitely hire Gina again to take care of Nacho. It was clear when she dropped him off that he really liked her. Thanks Gina!!
Gina was wonderful with our Pyrenees. So kind and gentle and sent lots of updates. Our pyr was all smiles when we got back to pick her up.
We are so happy to have Gina in our area after our pup's successful stay in her home! Gina was a great communicator, sending us photo updates and letting us know what they were up to throughout the day. Lots of attention was given to our tri-paw rescue, including walks through the neighborhood, brushing, and playtime in her fenced yard. Even the humans got some treats as it was the holiday season and she had some cookies to share. We look forward to using her services again and are happy to have somewhere safe and loving available should we ever need a sitter.
Gina was amazing with my people loving pup. She sent regular photos and updates on his day that’s helped ease any fears I had about leaving him and helped my kids who were missing him. It was a great experience in every way!

I have a fenced yard and am generally home most of the time unless I have to go to the store or an out of office meeting which isn't frequent. My dog never chose to sleep on my bed, but if your fur baby is accustomed to this I am open to that. I have a dog bed here if your pet prefers his/her own space.

Information Gina M. would like to know about your pet
If you dog has any special needs like medications or special food let me know if you will be bringing these and how to administer. Happy to accomodate.
A typical day
My neighbor let's me walk behind her barn which is just lovely and open so that's how we would start our day followed by frequent play periods and R&R together inside & out. If you give your dogs treats, I would expect you to provide these only because changing diet, even a treat, can have adverse affects on some dogs.

I work from home rising early around 6 am and the routine I had with my own dog was morning walk. Can take play breaks.
