Pet care experience
I have had my own pets most of my adult life. I have watched friends and family pets for the last two years. I have experience with pets who have mild separation anxiety and pets that need regular medication administered.

I have a nice size fenced yard that is good for playing chase and fetch. I keep pets indoors for most of the day unless the pet is signaling they want to be outside and the weather is suitable for them to stay out for awhile. I do have 1 small 6lb Chorkie who rules the roost and a husband; the husband is house trained and well behaved. All of our kids are college age. We have dog parks near by, but prefer not to take a pet that is not ours for health and safety reasons. Exception can be considered after discussing. Pets are allowed on furniture, but we discourage it; your pet would not be in trouble if they hopped up to snuggle. Mostly you should know I love dogs.

Please let me know ahead of time of any special needs your pet has. Such as medications, strict dietary needs, or any health issues. Please also let me know about any behaviors. For example let me know if your dog doesn’t get along or is anxious around other pets, is your dog wary of new people and sounds, is your dog super friendly and very hyper. Etc.
A typical day
There are several trials and dog parks nearby. Most walks are taken around the neighborhood. We also have a nice sized fenced yard where your dog is free to run around and we can play fetch and chase.

I work from home full time M-F and mostly home on the weekends. Anytime away on the weekend is a couple of hours for running errands or for dinner.
